The National Learning at Work Week is taking place 15-21 May at the same time as the Mental Health Awareness Week, with themes respectively being ‘Create the Future’ and ‘Anxiety’.

To raise awareness, the Learning Academy are releasing a Special Edition Podcast on Tue 16 May. We are joined by special guest Samantha Walshaw, Operations Manager for Wakefield Children’s Residential Homes.

Sam has worked for Wakefield Council for almost 16 years, she first joined the service on placement to become a Social Worker. She will be sharing experiences from her career, including the positives and the hardships of working at Wakefield Council and how she has overcome them, the importance of Social Work and Residential Homes and the impact both services have on Children & Young People.
