Now in its fourth year and with one album already under their belt, the Steyoyoke Recordings family are finally ready to follow things up with their second album ‘Coalescence’. Träume / Insanity is Ran Salmans latest 2 track EP. Beautiful, elegant and dangerous; the EP takes you on a dark journey through a burning electric soundscape with plenty on energy for the dancefloor. "Träume" spills plenty of melody about thanks to the brilliantly crafted arpeggios and swells throughout, but also maintains a strong sense of groove and ambience. "Insanity" is the harder - and possibly the darker - of the two, with a kick set for the floor and a bassline pumping away. A rhythmic synth rises and falls as the track fights its way out and opens the floodgates.

From Huntleys + Palmers springs forth another wedge of remixes dubbed Chapter 3. This time, it's key Cómeme player Lena Willikens on remixing duties. You’d usually catch Willikens raiding the airwaves of Dusseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs, as well as spearheading the renowned monthly “Sentimental Flashback” show for Radio Cómeme.

From Chapter 3, we’ve singled out Willikens rework of Oklo Gabon’s “City Gym” as our go-to track. Defined by an enticing flurry of sharp key work and resilient percussion, the track hits the ground running — never losing its grip once.

Kevin De Vries delivers big room drama on his ‘Aratak’ EP for Afterlife Recordings. 

Spirited synth lines, drum rolls, gripping moments of silence and weighty kick drums make the title track of De Vries’ Afterlife debut formidable club gear. ‘Sciamachy’ is more subtle, centred around a euphoric arpeggio which spirals to its apex. Konstantin Sibold contributes a fine remix, toning down certain elements of ‘Sciamachy’ to let others shine. It completes an EP that brims with energy and dancefloor dynamism, a hugely exciting first full record for De Vries on Afterlife.

Joseph Disco’s early education in beat science came as a resident DJ in Cologne’s legendary club Playground, where his regular opportunities to manipulate the dancefloor like a puppeteer quickly drew him into the sphere of music production. Shortly after returning to his native Munich in 2005, he released his first project on the label: Great Stuff Recordings, and later on labels like Stil vor Talent and Platform B, both as an solo artist and with different projects. With his name established amongst electronic aficionados, Joseph has gone on to entrench himself on the scene as a steadfast proliferator of high-quality works. Sporting an ever-growing cadre of solo releases and remix work on a multitude of labels, Joseph Disco has only given a tantalizing taste of his true potential.

He has played countless gigs in and out of Germany on clubs like: KaterBlau ,Sisyphos, Wilde Renate, Rummelsbucht, Südpol, Club Charlotte and Hive in Zurich.
