Kadence Musik was founded in 2012 as a music community and clubbing brand based in the Leeds,UK.

Imagine there exists a place in your city, where you can go to experience music that reaches within and stirs your soul.  A place where others go who share your passion, and to release themselves from the world, where time stops, your mind wonders and people dance. 

Kadence extends beyond a single event or genre into a community with its roots embedded in a love for House Music. We think your musical tastes reflect who you really are, and that coming together in the same space at the same time with others who share your love, creates a feeling of warmth, of relaxation and togetherness. 
We love music. We live music. Our musical journey through life has filled us with inspiration, brought together in the Kadence brand.  From Berlin, to the White Isle, Miami and beyond, the founders have been there in the crowds doing their time.

Our unique sound bridges all gaps between genres of the house music genre and   will never disappoint.
Alongside our talented residents we will always bring you the best up and coming underground artists from around the world and most importantly home grown local talent featuring on our podcasts and events.
Based in Leeds, Kadence finds its home at the intimate underground venue Distrikt Bar on Duncan Street, where we have thrown regular parties to showcase our sound. Our team always try to find the next upcoming talents to perform with our residents, Francesca Lombardo, Geddes and Latmun joined local rising stars such as Niko Maxen, Kepler and many more talented artists on our roster.

After a break from releasing as a label for a few years we look to come back in 2020 stronger than ever with a much improved drive and ethos.

Biography:
“I’ve always been the loud one!” Growing up just outside of London, Katy has been creating music with her producer/songwriter brother George and her ‘brother from another mother’, Rick Parkhouse (Red Triangle) since she was 17 years old. She would join her older brothers for acoustic performances anywhere and everywhere from the beach to underground clubs in London city. The duo would play open mics, performing covers and originals. That's where Katy really began to cut her teeth as a performer, focusing on developing a musical style of her own. Her goal has always been to write relatable music. “Personally, I search for songs that comfort me and let me know I'm not the only one who feels a certain way,” Katy says. “If I help one person through what I was feeling when I wrote a song, I'll be happy. I hope I can give back what I searched for in music.”

After a serious heartbreak, Katy and her brothers penned the fiercely impassioned “Fire Fire,” which immediately got picked up on the influential blog Arjan Writes in early 2012. The song caught the ear of the music industry, including some major label executives, and Katy’s life, as she knew it, changed. She flew to LA only telling close friends and family and signed a major label record deal with Republic/Lava Records. She spent the next year in the states dipping in and out of recording studios and working with some of the most well respected names in the industry. After a year and a half, Katy and Republic/Lava parted ways in the summer of 2013. It was a low point, but Katy stayed focused and stuck it out in LA. “I didn’t let this deter me,” she says. “This is a bump in the road and it’s a marathon, not a sprint.” 

In October of 2013, Katy was introduced to Rock Mafia, by music executive Bruce Tyler who asked Katy to record “The Big Bang,” a boisterous pop number the production duo initially released in 2010. The song was immediately relatable for Katy thanks to its opening lines: “I don't wanna lie/I'm gonna take what you're giving/'Cause I know you're willing/To take me all the way.” For Katy, those words represented how she felt in that moment.

Thanks to the incredible support from the executives at Clear Channel/iHeartRadio, Katy was awarded their “On The Verge” campaign. This was a huge coup for an unsigned artist and not one to hide her feelings, Katy cried as though she’d just won a Grammy when she heard the news and nearly fell down some stairs. Since then the single has entered the Hot 100 chart, iTunes’ “Top Pop Songs” chart and Shazam’s “Top 100 USA.” The song’s success, as well as Katy’s unwavering, good-spirited determination, also scored a new record label deal with Atlantic Records, with whom she will release her debut album later this year. 

For Katy, an outspoken, witty songwriter the music begins with the inspirations that have lingered since childhood, from reggae beats to soul vocalists, from Stevie Wonder to Alicia Keys, all the way to Katy Perry. “Music is everything to me.  It’s my best friend, my worst enemy, my boyfriend and my ex rolled into one.  I’m extremely dedicated, but never want one day to go by without a good laugh.”

We are the Marsh Rats . Since escaping from a sewer in Broadmoor in 1998 we have managed to avoid the chains of  weak mediocrity, oppression, and commercialism whilst feeding off the waste of an ever increasing and wasteful human population. We make it our mission  to provide rat lovers everywhere with some fun packed   musical entertainment.
Our band members:
Ben Rat - He's the joker of the rat pack,slightly hyper in nature and easily excited, but a real 'EEEeeee'k on the stage. a dedicated follower of all things rat
Skanka Rat: Hailed as the bass reggae dub king for his booming bass licks. Also well known for his liking  for freshly thrown out potato peelings.
Dick Rat: (Rattus norvegicus or wild buffalo rat). Dick Rat started out with two sticks of Rhubarb and a dustbin lid,  playing  small venues on Hackney marshes before he was rescued by a the RSPCA. His magic on the skins(drum, not Potatoes) is well respected throughout the musical rat community
Riki Rat: Grew up in the mean backwaters of Graveney marshes but soon found he had a talent for singing and spreading harmless diseases. He was recently voted as July's best kept whiskers in Rat monthly

Blackburner is a Los Angeles based electronic music group. It consists of Skyla Talon. Founded in 2011. Influenced by the Skyla's background as a metal guitarist and vocalist, Blackburner combines the aggressive bass beats with the melodic hooks, and Electronica Dance Music to create its own hybrid sound. Blackburner made its name by remixing tracks and releasing original compositions through Cleopatra Records, pitting Blackburner alonside Dubstep artists such as Rusko & Nero 

Blackburner’s debut record, FEEL THE BURN, had an incredible amount of online and IRL buzz. It featured guest appearances by electronic pioneer Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream as well as John Wesley of Porcupine Tree. The band supported industrial rock icons Ministry on their summer 2012 tour from Los Angeles to New York in addition to headlining legendary Sunset Strip Music Festival. 

At the end of summer 2012 Blackburner met William Shatner briefly, inspring Skyla to write a sci-fi driven album Planet Earth Attack 


A Michigan-born Los Angeles transplant, Talon cut his teeth in the music capital of the world with the modern metal band Killingbird, which he founded in 2000. In 2005, Talon joilent his guitar playing and songwriting talents to Scum Of The Earth, the side project of ROB ZOMBIE axeman Riggs. After a busy touring schedule that saw Talon performing around the country with acts such as HATEBREED and TYPE O NEGATIVE, Talon began experimenting with electronic dance music production. Inspired by the revolutionary new sounds in Dubstep and Glitch music generated by the likes of fellow metal-head-turned-DJ SKRILLEX, Talon recruited extra dose of heaviness and in an explosion of computer wires, guitar strings and patch cables, BLACKBURNER was born! Soon was remixing tracks and releasing original compositions through the Cleopatra imprint Hypnotic Records. The project immediately met with enormous success as compilations featuring BLACKBURNER alongside Dubstep luminaries RUSKO, NERO, DUBBA JONNY climbed the iTunes Electronic charts, while BLACKBURNER tracks racked up over over 99,000 individual downloads. Bolstered by this overwhelming on-line buzz, preparations were made for a full-length album - and now the time had came for BLACKBURNER to make its worldwide launch.

Dee Montero is a lifer. He’s the former Mambo Ibiza resident who at the end of 2017 received Pete Tong’s Essential Tune Of The Year on BBC Radio One for the string-fuelled, epic end-of-nighter ‘Halcyon’, originally released on Solomun’s acclaimed Diynamic imprint. And he’s been busy ever since with various eps including ‘Pangaea’ on Knee Deep In Sound, ‘Shadows’ on All Day I Dream and also the scintillating ‘In The Wild’ and ‘Headspace’ featuring Meliha on Anjunadeep.

From Asia to America and everywhere in between it’s all been about the music for Dee. Performances in Australia, India and Dubai have been interspersed with US tours and appearances at Burning Man on the Robot Heart and Carl Cox Playground stages as well as summer shows in Ibiza including Hï with Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli.

In 2020 Dee launched his own imprint Futurescope bringing in fellow musical alchemists Patrice Baumel, Fort Romeau and Lauer for remix duties. He unleashed his diverse 12 track artist album ‘Artifacts’ to the world in 2022 playing to those deft melodic touches, twinkling synths and positive peaks. ‘Maya’, the standout track from the LP and a homage to Future Sound Of London’s ‘Papua New Guinea’ got a special rework from mastermind Rodriguez Jr. pushing the release to even bigger, higher heights. 

As well as forthcoming eps on Nora En Pure’s Purified label later this year Dee’s next single ‘Freedom’ on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound will continue the upward electronic pressure into summer 2023. These are exciting times for an artist with Dee’s attention to detail and there are so many sonic terrains still left to discover…
