Hanna aka Tigress is a Boston native with a love for primal bass and organic sounds. As a combo DJ/vocalist she brings an eclectic blend of psychedelic music, hybrid trap, and global bass to the dance floor. Tigress is a female DJ on a mission to explore the power of sound as a transformational experience. Inspired by a passion for deep rhythms, global influences, and sacred resonance, she aims to explore a wide range of styles and energy levels. Using her studies of music therapy and the stylings of her own voice, she layers dynamic melodies over rich bass frequencies for a full sonic experience and always incorporated unique and diverse elements into her sets. Since debuting at Firefly Arts Festival in 2015, she's made appearances at Wildfire Festival, Kinetic Fire and various other events around the Boston area. In addition to growing her musical brand and her massage therapy business, she is an organizer for a Burner theme camp called The Love & Lions Den which throws fully immersive art and music events.

Selecting from a varied collection of electronica and broken beats, cosinezero brings a dark futurist and retro feel to the finest dancefloors around. As an avid dancer, cosine is in touch with the dancefloor's needs, and delivers intense energy and entertainment. Frequently found dancing in clubs, few djs understand and appreciate what is necessary to put the floor into motion as much as he does.

After returning to the decks after a long hiatus after his residency at defmatch, cosine has undertaken a vision to establish and foster a scene in Boston for the growing electroswing genre. Jive (facebook.com/jiveboston) is the community dedicated to doing just that, by educating and entertaining dancers with the latest, hottest sounds of electroswing. 

Following the success of Jive, cosine created a weekly event called Pulse (facebook.com/pulseboston), a "Caring home for the sick, ill, and broken beat." Pulse was founded on the notion that music isn't always best heard in a nightclub format, that sometimes a pint and a friend is the proper listening environment for certain music. Triphop, hiphop, trap, downtempo, bass music and nujazz are all represented.

P.O.S was born in Minneapolis as Stefon Alexander, where everybody still calls him Stef. As a little kid, he developed a fascination with an older cousin's bass guitar. Stef was allowed to take it home and he banged on it happily for years before realizing that it was intended to be played through an amp. "I just thought it was supposed to be a quiet instrument." As a teenager, he fell hard for punk rock. Minor Threat, At the Drive-In, Refused, Kid Dynamite. He played in a series of hardcore bands, sometimes as a drummer, sometimes on guitar and vocals. From the start, he preferred basement shows to club gigs. Simultaneously, he pursued hip hop, rapping in the hallways and after school with classmates who would eventually found Doomtree Records. P.O.S released his first rap record, Ipecac Neat, on Doomtree in 2003. After signing with Rhymesayers shortly after, it was quickly released and widely distributed on Rhymesayers Entertainment. The album earned P.O.S a dedicated following of critics and underground fans. Two years later they devoured his melodic sophomore release Audition, which featured collaborations with heavyweights like Slug from Atmosphere; Craig Finn of The Hold Steady; and Greg Attonito of The Bouncing Souls. On the verge of his third release, with his trajectory unchecked, P.O.S still doesn't take himself too seriously. He doesn't sweat the musical trends. He locks himself in his bedroom studio until the early hours of the morning, emerges with a song, and couldn't care less how someone else would have gone about it.

Like many great rappers, P.O.S creates his own self-contained little microcosm-his characters become familial to us; we get in on his slang and inside jokes. His mother and his son Jacob emerge as familiar personalities. We know his politics too: P.O.S doesn't hesitate to call out the compounding absurdities of pop culture, either with a little friendly ribbing or with a Molotov cocktail. On Never Better he drops deft one-liners that cut to the quick of America's stuff-obsessed culture, Can't take it with them can they?

Amidst the swagger, the laughter and the wit, P.O.S also provides a portal to his personal life-a young man ferociously determined to succeed as a father, a musician, and a human being. He's earnest, sometimes frustrated, irresistibly likable, and he's goofy. With that kind of wingspan, he can rally almost any crowd-live he's like the Pied Piper of the underground. He can make a rap show feel like a revival, a mosh pit, or a reunion. He will stand on chair. He'll invent a dance. Then the beat drops, the hands go up, and you're converted.

Stemming from his home towns of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, Waters is truly an inspirational and challenging artist. It is often said that those who experience the most pain go on to become the best healers through their ability to empathize with any situation. Kicked out on the streets at age 16, he had no idea that was going to become the theme of his journey. Family having turned their back on him, Waters saw no other choice but to hustle in order to survive the jungle he was thrust in to. 

Facing seemingly insurmountable odds he fought and struggled through adversity that no child should have to face at such a tender age. "Despite how messed up I perceived my situation to be, I always felt there were spirits watching over me ". From escaping close calls with law enforcements, to surviving a battle in which he was stabbed in the neck, to car accidents, Its amazing he still alive to share his story. Perhaps there is something watching over him, guiding him...

His spirit knew he was not even close to living up to his full potential.
A look toward change began with the teachings of Buddhism. He began to study the philosophy in order to channel his anger. Eventually after returning to the straight and narrow, his family opened their arms and took him in. After working a few odd jobs, for example a three-year stint at Herb Chambers selling cars, he quickly realized that he needed more spiritual fulfillment. “A way to give back to the world", He decided to become a massage therapist. This yearning to work in the field of message therapy didn’t stem from just anywhere. A few years prior, Waters was involved in a car accident that left him with chronic back pains. After eight months of going to multiple physical therapy sessions and meeting with various chiropractors, nothing seemed to work. His prognosis seemed pretty unpromising, and he started to accept the fact that he may have to live with this pain forever. This all changed however after meeting with Rev Trxx’s father, a Hoshino Massage Therapist. After two sessions, Rev’s father had Waters back in perfect shape. At that moment on the seed was planted, which has now blossomed into a successful private practice.

Besides massage therapy, Waters has another obvious passion, hip-hop. One of his odd jobs in particular was Staples. During his short time there, he got the chance to meet Viceversah. Though the spark didn't ignite then. The two would coincidentally bump into each other at a breakfast spot a year later, only to realise that they lived directly across from one another. After spending some more time together, both realized each others passion. Viceversah invited him for a guest appearance on his album and the rest is history.

Instilling the ideas of his mother, Water’s chooses a unique approach with his lyrics and overall hip-hop direction. “Ironically, my mother didn’t let me listen to hip-hop when I was young, due to the violent nature of the lyrics” Water’s says. He continues on by adding, “She didn’t want it to influence my behavior”. Waters realizes that at a young age, the lyrics he listened to definitely impacted his behavior on the streets. However, after being introduced to groups like “The Roots” and “Black Star”, Waters realized that using his negative life experiences could be a perfect way to send a positive message through his lyrics. “Music is my way to help heal, uplift and inspire others and myself”, he says. “It influences the soul in ways I could never imagine, and I feel responsible as a poet to help guide us to the highest path possible for spiritual evolution”.

Water’s realizes how lucky he was to get off the streets in one piece. After spending some time working at the Roxbury Boys and Girls club, he was able to see what happens to a lot of kids who aren’t as fortunate. “Years later I have run into kids that I once worked with and they’re all grown up. Some have served multiple jail sentences, others have drug problems and even kids”. Waters understands the fact that he is in charge of his own destiny, and that the success of you achieve in life depends on hard work and finding your true passion. “If you had told me 10 years ago that I would become a Buddhist massage therapist slash conscious lyricist or that I would get to perform at the United Nations for the international day of peace, I would look at you like you had two heads. A hustler turned healer is my story and I look forward to sharing it with you. I will change the world with words and my hands.”

Waters is currently finalizing his debut album, "Surface Tension" which will be dropping later this year.

Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.
