Christmas Versus Examinations. The Makerere University Students' Dilemma.
The Vox pop attached is an audio I have worked on collecting views from Makerere University students, both the Main campus and Makerere University Business school as they head towards the festive season.
As we have been taught in our various societies, Christmas where we celebrate the birth of Christ brings families together to share and rejoice in that line, and most especially considering that people tend to be busy throughout the year.
It is a lovely moment shared between families and friends, but this does not seem to be the case with Makerere University students.
While a few feel that the forthcoming end of academic year exams set to begin on 3rd January should not be a hinderance to their festivities, majority of the students prefer to seat back in class, libraries and their hostels to run down the pages left just to ensure they are all set for the big course ahead of them.
Others are finding it even more difficult to balance their academics with work, being working students and for them, Christmas celebrations this year are almost next to impossible.

EXPECTATIONS FROM PRESIDENT MUSEVENI'S PENDING ADDRESS.

The security in the country is currently under siege from terrorists. On November 16th, twin bomb blasts occurred at Central Police Station and along Parliamentary Avenue killing dozens and leaving scores injured. This comes a few days after another bomb blast at Komamboga pork joint. The country is also under the scourge of the COVID 19 pandemic .

As a result of these and other factors, President Museveni who heads the Republic of Uganda has slated Friday 19th November, 2021 as a day to address the citizens on the state of affairs in the  country.

This vox pop is a summation of the ideas of students of Makerere University on their expectations from the Presidential address.
