As VOID LOOP ( ), the producer and sound designer Markus Wutzlhofer & drummer Jan Slak play “Live-Techno”, a journey through a sea of pitch black basses, waves of crystalline melodies and simmering grooves. Whilst simultaneously soulful and punchy, both musicians create their own elated interpretation of club music. The intriguing mixture of electronic and acoustic percussion, analog synthesizers and digital sequencers, produces the distinctive sound of VOID LOOP ( ). 

Markus and Jan are sampling and digitally modifying percussion elements, self-constructed instruments and repurposed ordinary objects.  Crisp textures melt with the sound of the compelling kickdrum to create a holistic warmth of sound. Not only does this provide a unique and exciting performance, but also creates a traction to the dance floor.

A live set by VOID LOOP ( ) takes the listener on a voyage through House, Break Beat, Techno and Funk. Their blend of full-bodied melodies and complex progressive grooves always envokes that comforting feeling of nostalgia.

JazzCanDance is a festival for improvised music. Located in the middle of nowhere in lower-bavaria, a collective of international and regional musicians creates music for three days. Bands - in a conventional sense - only occur between the free formations of the collective.
Stylistically, there are no limits: from hip hop to be bop, house to funk, Brazilian to Indian world music - what counts is the moment and freedom.
This is probably unique - the music at the JazzCanDance-Festival arises at the moment of interaction. The result is a session that takes place under a huge star-shaped tent, somewhere, next to the corn field near the river - all night long.

JazzCanDance ist ein Festival fuer improvisierte Musik, Jazz und Artverwandtes. Mitten im Gruenen gelegen, auf einer Wiese zwischen dem Fluss Rott und einem Baggersee, gibt das Festival seit fuenf Jahren immer am ersten Wochenende im August Raum fuer musikalische Begegnungen.
Ein Kollektiv internationaler und regionaler Musiker*innen erschafft drei Tage lang improvisierte Musik. Bands – im herkoemmlichen Sinn – treten nur auf zwischen den freien Formationen des Kollektivs.
Stilistisch gibt es keine Grenzen: von HipHop bis Jazz, House bis Funk, brasilianischer bis indischer Weltmusik – es zaehlt der Moment und die Freiheit.
Das ist wohl einzigartig – die Musik auf dem JazzCanDance entsteht dabei im Augenblick des Zusammenspiels. Es entsteht eine Session, die unter einem riesigen Sternenzelt, irgendwo da, neben dem Maisfeld am Fluss die ganze Nacht erfuellt.
Die Zuhörer*innen lassen sich anstecken von diesem besonderen Spirit: Sie tanzen ihn – den Zau- ber des schöpferischen Miteinanders im vermeintlichen Nirgendwo. Die Musiker*innen, sie leben dieses Miteinander – zaubern mit hohen und tiefen Toenen Musik, die den Moment einfaengt.
