We believe music is powerful and that there is a great need in the world for refrains and melodies to sing and shout from rooftops that reflect expanding conversations around sex, relationships, love, and families.

  We love popular music, but wish it had different lyrics much of the time, lyrics that acknowledge and celebrate the complexities of how people experience all kinds of love. We want to know what people all over the country think about sex and love and relationships and popular music, and we know we can only find out if we ask them. We want to sing and dance with all those people too. 

  In October and November of 2013, we drove across the country, playing and singing in the living rooms of several people, from wildly diverse backgrounds. We were blown away by the generosity that we encountered, and we are humbled by what we learned from people's values, perspectives and experiences. All of these conversations have informed and influenced the songs on our upcoming album, Love Songs for the Rest of Us.

The album will have: 
*Robustly acoustic versions of all of the songs (with us plus several other singers), all vocals and body percussion with a dash of ukulele. 
*And five dance remixes of songs by five separate DJs. We look forward to dancing with you to refrains like "how I like it"
