My Friend Called Jesus

The canon uses the same chord progressions as the canon in d major by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) that can be found in many rock and pop songs of the last sixty years. This is my interpretation. I just let my inspiration run free and used all the melodies that came to mind, mixing them, using all kinds of virtual instruments like oboe, bassoon, cembalo and strings.

This is dedicated to Abi. Abi is a young Mexican man who turned 18 on May 5th. He is a good friend/listener of mine.He'll be entering university in under a month. He's won numerous awards/placements in film/entrepreneurial competitions. A smart/kind/interesting young man with a bright future ahead of him if he continues to work hard and learn new things. He will most likely be a loyal/good boyfriend/husband aswell. I hope that he can listen to this song and instill a bit of confidence. "I'll be rolling on fumes of confidence still." One of your best friends is yourself and it really is better to have words of self empowerment from your most important ally. Abi will do above average in life and he has a bright future ahead of him. I hope that we can maybe work on a film together in the future where I can provide the score. When in self doubt, I hope he can return to my words here and remind himself that he is very much valued. Here's to Abi.

A Battle For Control

Hello fellow music lovers,
I’m Coty and grew up loving and learning a lot of different styles and genres of music. I’ve been playing drums for many years. After being in a few bands I’ve decided to start a project on my own called Purge With Pariahs. It’s been a long process for me to figure out getting the sound I want and how to do it all myself. I’m still on that journey, but I’m seeing some progress. The biggest struggle has been learning to sing, so I hope you enjoy what you hear.
