This song is written by Jim Barrett from Cork, Ireland, who sings and plays guitar, his brother Noel plays the bass. Roger Whittelsey from Boston produced it and added keyboards, drums and some vocals, and after that, I was lucky to have the opportunity the add some saxophone.

I wanted to create for this piece a romantic atmosphere, where the interpretation translates varied emotions and sound contrasts. The musical notes are above all vibrations that resonate within us. The very first measurements of the concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninov inspired me for the beginning of "Résonance", this composer remains for me one of the greatest masters of musical expression. J'ai voulu créer pour ce morceau une ambiance romantique, où l'interprétation traduit des émotions variées et des contrastes sonores. Les notes de musique sont avant tout des vibrations qui résonnent en nous. Les toutes premières mesures du concerto no. 2 de Rachmaninov m'ont inspiré pour le début de "Résonances", ce compositeur reste pour moi l'un des plus grands maîtres de l'expression musicale. Here's a song and video that's a bit of a change of pace, a crazy gangster story song from my album "Unhinged" that I recorded back in 2019. A totally made up this rock song and it has a nice riff. This is NOT one of my love songs!😂 It follows these insane bank robbers with serious mental problems! I wanted to make like a little action movie for this song. I'm always trying to make my songs into little films!😁.

    The video is new and took several days to finish since I had so many clips to edit together! I really tried to follow the song as close as I could and I even added a clip from an old Yosemite Sam cartoon of the 40's for comic relief!😂 I had a blast creating the video and I hope everyone enjoys it. This song started as many of our best do, with Chris coming up with it on his acoustic guitar. He shared it with the rest of us shortly after, and we were all very excited to tuck into it. 
  Ken was fist at the trough for this one, adding his jazzy, expressive drums. Josh came in as soon as he had a beat to work with, adding his signature fretless bass to the mix. Not long after that, JJ broke out the hauntingly melodic piano and Shine On You Crazy Diamond timbred synth you hear throughout. 
  Once it had a good structure to it, Mark came in and added the dynamic cello swells that open the song, some subtle strings, the melodic clarinet and flute, and a bit of synth pad near the end to spice up the soup a bit. He also had the great idea to ask Nyla to add some vocals, which she did in her typically dynamic and expressive way. Last, but definitely not least, we convinced Stephen to add some of his perfectly mood-setting banjo. 
  Once it was all in the can, it actually sat for several months before being revived by Chris, who also did the production and mix, expertly, as always.

Bruce Klepper's beautiful piece "Chiaroscur" inspired me a few ideas about art that I wrote in French. I sang them over Bruce's instrumental, improvising some melodies and vocal harmonies, and here is the result.

Mark says - 
In the 5 years I have been working with Rod, I have been encouraged to reach as far as my experience allows me to, with complete support at all times. So far we have completed 11 songs and have experimented with several others that made for a great learning curve for me, with several more at other stages of development... Watch this space, however as we are methodical and patient, therefore it may take some time to get them off the ground.

The subject matter of this song may be based on a different scenario but it is also a token of my gratitude to my inspirational collaborator and friend Rod, who has given me much confidence to rise to the ambition of his musical creativity and meticulous arrangements. Thank you all for giving this song your time.

Rod says - 
This song was conceived a long time ago to be sung in Spanish, but Mark did a magnificent adaptation with his English lyrics, and the meaning is 100% faithful to the original spirit, even though he hadn't heard the original song in Spanish. Technically, there are three voices together, consolidating a multi-vocal performance. The synth sounds emulate my old analog and FM synths, and the guitars were routed through an old console to achieve the vintage sound I was looking for.
