Back in 2000, the acclaimed roots-rock band Last Train Home released HOLIDAY LIMITED, a six-song slice of seasonal joy. Included on that EP was the song "Christmas in St. Paul," a rumination on year's end and hope for new beginnings, set at a Christmas party in the Twin Cities.
Now at the end of the strangest and hardest year most of us have ever lived, Last Train Home and lead singer/songwriter Eric Brace give us the gorgeous "By the Lights on the Tree," a tune that revisits some of the characters we first met in "Christmas in St. Paul." With their signature joyful blend of trumpets and pedal steel, saxophone and organ, guitars and harmonies, Eric Brace & Last Train Home ponder some unanswerables, like: "Where does the time go?" "When can we visit friends again?" And, "Where can I find a damn stamp around here?"

Released as a stand-alone single by the East Nashville label Red Beet Records, "By the Lights on the Tree," is available on all streaming platforms worldwide.
