Ajvar plays a spicy mixture of itchy Balkan instrumental pieces, that may lead to involuntary dancing, perspiring and smiling.

Ajvar collaboration starts in the early months of 2017 , when Ira Shiran ( Accordion ), Marianne Richter ( violin ) and Adrien Braud ( Clarinets ) began to meet to share their passion for the balkan music repertoire , playing Horas, Coceks , Geamparale, Taksims . Rapidly joined in summer by Cristian ( the bass player), and Attila on the drums . 

Our dedication to this music and desire to reproduce the same intention make us « sticking to the style »,  expressing the way of our masters.  
By playing as well as Romanian and Moldovan « Lautari » style ,  Bulgarian, Macedonian and Turkish cultures, we cover a wide range of styles , influences by soviet or western culture to Oriental, Asian roots. 

We all come from very different cultures ; Ira is from Israel at « the door » of Asia , Marianne is from Berlin and grew up in a family of classical artists, Cristian is from Chili and bring with him his South American grooves, as well influenced by classical guitar studies, Adrien is from France and  is mostly autodidact. Attila on drums is half turkish and German. 


 In this repertoire we play in different metrics, we play a lot of pieces in 9, some in 12, 7, 5 and 4 of course. So, for us, coming in a dance festival will be very interesting,  because  folk dancers know how to step on this asymmetrical grooves, and connect us more with the public, and or course we love to feel the contact with the audience, when everybody jam around, and go crazy !!  We also play on demand, trying to build the set as convinient as possible for the public;  Even if we don’t have any mazurka’s grooves in the repertoire, slow 7 beat groove could be danced like an unstable 3…

With a backbone in funk, soul & jazz, incorporating influences from surf, klezmer, rock, punk and hip-hop, there is no shortage of energy, tight grooves, catchy riffs, hot melodies & joy of life. Very Cool People “blow the roof off” of the venue or festival where they are performing.  VCP is an active-gigging band in which all the members love & enjoy to perform live shows more than anything. The band has had gigs in clubs, festivals and concert halls in Baltic States, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Spain & South Korea. More than 600 concerts so far.

Omar Elabd (Born 1983) is an electronic musician, guitarist and sound artist based in Cairo, Egypt.

A fusion between traditional arabic sounds and techno music made with love in Berlin.
The love for music brought Rafi from Palestine and Uros from Serbia to meet in Berlin and start this uplifting project. Their wish was to create quality new music that makes people be present and happy. They soon realized that the best way this could be done is by bringing  techno and quick arabs rhythms in a sophisticated combination together. Rafi is known for his amazing bright energy and creativity and Uros has been a long time DJ, entertaining the Berlin and international scene with balkan and oriental beats.
