Building from the success of their first release - The Moon Rack Compilation, an album compiling a variety of diverse creative influences, with a central theme of fusing genres and exploring contrasting moods - the Bristol-based Moon Rack is back with its first EP courtesy of Leeds-based producer, OSH. 

Featuring four experimental productions Moon Rack have struck gold in OSH's 'Northern Lights' EP. Through a fusion of twisted percussive elements, ambient synths, exceptional vocal sampling and ferocious breaks, OSH has developed a highly unique production style which, in turn, provides one of the most exciting and ambitious releases we've heard in a while.

Gimme A Break Records presents Donsurf’s ‘BREAKWAVE EP’ featuring three expertly crafted productions. Donsurf took the scene by storm through his widely received debut release on ec2a in collaboration with Bakey. Following this, Donsurf has continued to deliver experimental breakbeat and UK garage compositions as seen through single releases on Gimme A Break and Kultura Collective. 

In his ‘BREAKWAVE EP’ Donsurf divulges the breadth of his musical influences some of which include dubstep, breakbeat and jungle. The deliberately smooth transitions between tracks makes for a seamless journey through UK bass culture, grounded fundamentally through Donsurf’s intricate manipulation and sculpting of classic breaks with a personal twist.

Not Bad for a Girl are proud to be supporting Brighter Sound, a creative music charity, with this release. Rooted in the North of England, they change the lives of individuals through music, support and promote diverse talent and act as a catalyst for change in the music sector, from education to industry. DaiSu's contribution to NBFG001 is a stunning production which utilises foley, the reproduction and manipulation of everyday sounds, to form a deeply transcendent atmosphere rooted in a styling which walks the line between dub traditions and contemporary uk bass.

Stoned Squirrel opens the EP with a slow, head-nodding groove driven by a filtered acid hook and rattling percussions.

Off Shore follows as a stripped-back roller, evoking a hypnotic, submerged atmosphere.
Chants nods to Parule’s earlier work—fast-paced electro that dances between breakbeats and squelching acid lines.

Laufbahn is stripped down, raw and agonizing. Like running in circles with a broken foot.
Fujiyama pushes into the 160 BPM realm, weaving in lyrics and vocal textures from ŽEN's "Lov na crne tipke", a track Parule obsessed over throughout the past year.

Venturing through garage, breaks, footwork and re-works, the release does exactly what it says on the tin, providing you with some serious flavours for the dance. Taking its title from the labels ethos, the compilation truly reflects the Slippery Sound.
