Phoenix Rising Up is an anthem that is cultivated in the American Rock Genre written and produced on my instrument, the Dulcimer. Adding many layers and textures, such as organ, piano, drums & tambourine, I take you through an experience of being re-born. As a Survivor of Domestic Violence, there is nothing more American Rock n Roll, than feeling as though you can rise above and become free. Freedom was an experience for me, a second chance at life. Now that the dust has settled, erased the ashes from my face, it is within the fire, that I have emerged like the Phoenix.

Kristen Speller is an award winning Cape Verdean American Rock/Folk musician who stars in "Hanging With My Sisters" a 2019 Grammy® Contender, for Best Music Film, out on Prime Video now. Working on her 3rd studio album, "Entering Taunton" is set to release in 2023. Kristen has been doing live performances in support of her new album. This album is a love letter dedicated to her mother, referencing her hometown city, Taunton, MA. Kristen penned and is playing dulcimer, on all 12 songs and her husband, Marvin Speller, is producing with Justine Blazer as the Executive Producer. In addition, Kristen has a new band, K.S. & The Lifted, as she and her husband Marvin, are 2022 Josie Music Award Nominees for their new song being released in 2022, "We're Gonna Lift You Up."

Combining their philanthropy with music, cosmetics and community activism, their non-profit, From Here to There, will enable them to bring additional music and services to their community of Los Angeles.
