So...I take a deep breath now...because this is something so very special to me what I am able to introduce to you now...since a certain time a nice ongoing connection of music love has build to  Chris a.k.a. Noosa Soundsystem from Australia. And now he has built a set especially for MLD!! Can't believe that this is real now...he is such a talented producer and those who know about his releases find a very unique and deep sound in his tracks...also his fast developement is amazing and very inspiring for me...I'm curious about his process in future!
so here's  what Chris himself says about this special mix:
"Rather than opting to beat mix a dub techno set, I wanted to create something special for this guest mix - and in so doing - maybe share a deeper insight into the sonic aesthetic that informs the Noosa Sound System project. Taking a deep dive into my personal archives for this session, we navigate some pretty abstract long-form ambient territory in places. Whilst there is also some re workings of material from the Beyond the Sphere album that released last year on Greyscale. 
Normally some of these more experimental recordings might sit on the hard drive, as sample material or sound design references. However putting them together into a different narrative that wouldn't usually eventuate, has been a super interesting exercise leading to this exclusive set.
I hope you enjoy the session as much as I did, and if you listen carefully, you'll hear someone present during recording, loose it at one point as we start spinning a radio on the old 1200 Mk2. I left this in the final edit because it captures the fun to be had when we don't take our time in the studio too seriously! All that remains now is to express my thanks, much love and respect to Sai for the invite to MLD, and of course to you for listening - whoever you are - please don't be a stranger!

Francesco Tamburrano:
Francesco Tamburrano is a Venice based producer who focuses dub techno sounds with bass lines borrowed from techno and deep house to build a “melting Electronic”: sometimes hypnotic, sometimes raw, sometimes groovy. His first EP ‘Soft’ released earlier this year on ECOUL SND label, he’s now working on follow up releases. This mix features some of the current tracks released on the Techenie label. More music from Francesco is expected this year on the [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] label.

Sai:
Real name Kerstin Saidykhan. During the pandemic time in 2021 Sai restarted mixing music after more than 15 years and published her sets on SoundCloud. Her mixes has a focus on dubtechno, acid dub, drone, dark ambient and other experimental and eclectic stuff.. She called her mix series “Moments of Light ‘n Darkness” (MLD). MLD shall represent a wide spectrum of genres. Meanwhile Sai presents also guest mixes on her SoundCloud Channel.
"Dubtechno became a very special role to me caused by its introvert, meditative and hypnotic attitude which fits very good to me in the present time.
So music is much more than entertainment to me and shaped my personality my whole life – and this development never stops, can’t help, it just happens all the while.
My mixes reflects my personality in many ways, I would say, means sometimes smooth, restrained and homogeneous, sometimes diverse and ambivalent. Under people I'm always a bit introverted. I guess, I'm like a lizard what needs the sun around to get warmed up. And I can’t do small talk. Sitting and watching, while people interacting... and than give some unpredictable shots is my special attitude - heard people saying that about me, haha."

DUBBISM #221 - Sai

Quadrant Soundscape are Tommy Harrison and Wilson Logan from Manchester. Together, they are the minds behind the Dub Explorations Radio Show. They also run a series of live events at the famous Eastern Bloc Records, with notable guest appearances from Ohm, Kvadrant, El Choop, Andy Green, Mike Shommer.

The Dub Explorations Radio Show itself has well surpassed 110 shows, all 3 hours in length which is an insight into the dedication they have for hunting underground music to showcase and push forward - [www.soundcloud.com/quadrantsoundscape/sets/dub-explorations]

They have also expanded their musical output which now includes “The Quadrasphere“ series where artists are invited to show a different musical side of themselves from what you might expect, as well as the soon to launch Frontier Series where they will have world rebounded artists showcasing their sound. 

Over the last 8 years, the boys have featured on many podcasts across the globe, where their creative style of playing Ambient, Dub Techno, Minimal and Detroit Techno on 4 decks, while incorporating live samples is always well received. This has also led to them being invited to play many gigs in Manchester, London and Berlin.

Individually, Tommy produces music as Asphalt Layer. His deep, electronic and dubby sound being heard on multiple record labels worldwide. Incorporating analog machines and field recordings to generate the many noises he uses in his productions, along with that 90's Jungle influence, his sound is very recognisable.

And Wilson has begun a new alias, Scavenger, where he dives deep into the murky, experimental and dark, trippy techno world to produce very unique mixes. This alias allows Wilson to experiment more with his records and sound, often performing in a dark room on 4 decks alone.

RE.vila is a music producer from Liverpool, England. He started to produce music at University in 2018, with his musical interest crossing borders of house, techno and recently acousmatic music. His musical journey began around 1998 listening to club nights on the radio, this started his passion for the world of dance music. Ever since, he has listened and collected vinyl and digital issues of various styles of house and techno. RE.vila is now concentrating on the sound of dub techno where his original and remix work have gained the attention of various labels from across the globe. He is passionate about how music brings people together from around the world and transcends into one language for all who listen.

Robonix:
Robonix is a DJ from Denver, Colorado. While some in his inner circles consider him a wordsmith, he has a music library bigger and more colorful than his vocabulary. As a raver, first, and DJ, second, Robonix has been involved in Denver's underground electronic music scene for over a decade, awarding him supporting gigs on lineups in clubs and warehouses across the city with the likes of Kwartz, Manni Dee, Marco Bailey, thOr, Audion, DJ Stingray, John Tejada, Anthony Rother and many more. With a penchant toward dark, hypnotic and dub-leaning techno, he prides himself on his diversity and ability to move between genres, moods, styles and energies with smooth cohesion.
