I find there to be nothing quite like a Lloyd Khan composition, his music transpires what we have come to recognize as the typical genre "norms" in such a way that allows his music to adopt an almost otherworldly quality that feels both thematically ambiguous and deeply enigmatic. The inspired way in which he draws many distinct elements from a number of world music styles and then combines them with contemporary genres such as rock and electro is tantalizing and ensures listeners are never short of a memorable moment or two.

Lloyd Khan is a master at deft genre-blending and "Karma" most definitely follows suit in this regard. Moments of technical lead guitar are met with dystopian-style synth textures whilst electro-infused lead lines weave their way through ethnic-styled percussive and vocal elements, resulting in a wild ride of contrasting sounds and styles that present listeners with a plethora of scintillating creative ideas from start to finish. As to be expected in a Lloyd Khan track, melody and rhythmic variety are bountiful, and between the rich sonic palette provided by the diverse instrumentation and the conceptually fascinating inspiration that drives the music forward, there's plenty here for the more avant-garde-inclined music enthusiasts to really sink their teeth into
