En esta nueva entrega de la serie Fun Fun Mix presentamos a Mystery Friend, dj de la zona oeste de Buenos Aires, fundador de Fusion Dance, fiesta y ciclo mensual de radio el cual enfoca diversos géneros orientados a las raíces y a los nuevos sonidos de la música electrónica. Su búsqueda y selección profundiza en los orígenes de la música House, Techno & Synthpop, reviviendo la nostalgia de los clubes de los 80’s y principios de los 90’s, incorporando la frescura de la nueva generación. Su sonido energiza el ambiente generando un movimiento constante en la pista de baile, donde la sensualidad, el gueto, la fantasía y el sudor van de la mano. Como productor, ha lanzado un EP (Mystery Box) y tres álbumes de edits (80’s Mystery Edits), y ademas forma parte del dúo Romance Layers con el cual ha lanzado varios singles y dos EP’s.

For the 43rd. entry in the Fun Fun Mix series, we present Mystery Friend, dj from the western area of Buenos Aires, founder of Fusion Dance, party and monthly radio show which focuses on various genres oriented to the roots and the new sounds of electronic music. His search and selection delves into the origins of House, Techno & Synthpop music, reviving the nostalgia of the 80's and early 90's clubs, incorporating the freshness of the new generation. His sound energizes the environment, generating constant movement on the dance floor, where sensuality, ghetto, fantasy and sweat go hand in hand. As a producer, he has released one EP (Mystery Box) and three albums of edits (80's Mystery Edits), and he is also part of the duo Romance Layers with which he has released several singles and two EP's.

As Dollkraut, Pascal Pinkert very much operates out on his own. His mastery of sound makes for music that is at once from the future but also reminiscent of the past. Fusing synth and new wave, pop hooks and a knack for rough riding grooves, he is a versatile producer who can freak you out or make you open your heart. The Dutchman does so with releases on labels like Doppelschall and The Gym; releases that soon sell out and become much sought after. His latest is the gritty yet romantic Holy Ghost People album, which is due on Jennifer Cardini’s new label in March. 

The same haunting but spaced out 70s sound that characterises his music and DJ sets also defines the mix he has put together for us here. It’s a jaunty journey through a cinematic and upbeat world of naive pop, electro boogie, robot disco and glam-synth gorgeousness that oozes style. Few DJs have a sound that manages to be as aesthetically tight yet musically diverse and this, but Dollkraut pulls it off with ease.
