About eFonik

Catalan DJ born in Barcelona, with two decades of experience behind the decks. He started with the KilltheDJ collective in Barcelona, making a transition from techno and acid music to slower rhythms, introducing minimal and dub techno in his stylebook.
Gradually, he turned to a more musical and lively sound, less industrial but deeper and richer in nuances. He also adopted native rhythms and melodies that fuse ethnic instruments with contemporary electronic music.
Without losing its taste for sleek, low-revolution electronics, in recent years it has gone further, delving into its essential sound with hypnotizing slow-house, slow-techno and ketapop style sessions, with the downtempo umbrella for end up shaping his personal stamp.

DJ català nascut a Barcelona, amb dues dècades de trajectòria darrere els plats. Va començar amb el col·lectiu KilltheDJ de Barcelona, fent una transició des de la musica techno i àcid cap a ritmes més lents, introduint el minimal i el dub techno en el seu llibre d’estil. 
A poc a poc, va anar virant cap a un so més musicalitzat i viu, menys industrial però més profund i ric en matisos. Adoptà també els ritmes natius i melodies que fusionen els instruments ètnics amb la musica electrònica contemporània. 
Sense perdre el regust per la electrònica elegant i de baixes revolucions, en els darrers anys ha anat més enllà, aprofundint en el seu so essencial amb sessions d’estil hipnotitzant slow-house, slow-techno i ketapop, amb el paraigua del downtempo per acabar donant forma al seu segell personal.

One of the goals of the Etnotròpic Mixtapes series is to periodically present recordings in mixtape format from new talents around the world, as well as to have the presence of DJs with the greatest experience.
