Transitional Being reveals another side of XVARR’s production palette — characteristically trance-inducing, this release highlights the transformational potential of dance music.

Spanning the last ten years, these six tracks handpicked by Aural Medium align with a particular relationship to technology that has formed the central pillar to the XVARR studio set up. Often starting with a drum pattern and sequenced bass-line, the physical rhythm is stripped out and surrounding elements are drawn out and manipulated to convey the ‘hidden’ intention behind the track. With the tracks compiled here, he lets the rhythms ride. The influence of more ‘club-orientated’ music has remained firmly embedded in XVARR’s psyche, although typically the trip has been more introverted. The approach here may differ from other XVARR outputs, but the mood most definitely remains the same, with an overarching desire to channel emotion and passion from the other side of nowhere.

XVARR recognizes the parallels between the ritualistic dance of the Witches’ Sabbath and a dark room filled with sweat, smoke, and sound. It is in this parallel void of transcendent possibilities that tracks such as “Running out of Time”, “The Crooked Path” (a nod to Andrew Chumbley) and “Universal” reside. There’s also a subtle presence of influences from Industrial music, with groups such as SPK, Conrad Schnitzler, Chris Carter and Cabaret Voltaire paving the way for XVARR’s early experiments with electronic music. The alchemical results on this EP float in a universe populated by such luminaries as AFX, Drexciya, and the constellation created by Chain Reaction, within a cosmos governed by the gravitational pull of Baldelli and Weatherall.

The 12th release on Good Morning comes from dear NYC friends Georgia - the avant-garde duo consisting of Brian Close & Justin Tripp.

The two are masters at channeling & communicating immediate energy through audio, imagery or film, and here they continue en route, with each of them delivering 50 minutes of brain dancing original music.

The duo's productions feel like an alien code of language that communicates with some un/seen world of energy - that which surrounds us daily, but only few try to explore. Imagine some kind of plant satellite - beaming live information back & fourth between worlds.

Or to quote directly....
“Approached as an antidote to a specific patterned brain as a navigational map of energy streams possibly oscillating the brain between control and release and whatever else shows up....summoning nature’s trance actualities....quiet is the base - re arrange is the place,

GMT12 Georgia - Sound Love (Snippets)

We first encountered @Xvarr (Zaheer) at the Low Company Records first birthday gathering back in April.

Introducing himself purely on his admiration for an interesting Peruvian cap, a conversation ensued & we were soon struck by his keen outpouring of love for all things mystic & Divine. 

After lengthy random discussions throughout the evening, we were left scratching our head in wonder of who this mysterious well-read man was....and where did he come from??

It turns out that apart from being well versed in Western esoteric mysticism, Zaheer has also been making music since the early 1990s, embarking on various solo projects & releasing limited edition CDRs of his compositions, often only gifting them to close friends & random acquaintances.

Those who frequent Low Company (or those smart enough to subscribe to their weekly email bulletins) most likely would've discovered XVARR’s debut LP titled 'Beyond Illuminism' (Thuluth Records) & his recent self-released ‘Aeons Revolve’ EP. Both totally mind blowing in their own right, and both showcasing a diverse collection of esoteric electronic rituals. The two releases really highlight Zaheer's raw talent for translating emotion & intention through sound.

So it's with the upmost gratitude that we thank XVARR for gifting us all with an incredible cassette on Good Morning Tapes - containing 110% of original unreleased recordings.

Sourced from a collection of old four track tapes/minidiscs, containing random recorded bits of synth...the odd beat here & there... & unfinished tracks from way back when, XVARR pulls together a sound collage of many moods & energies. All drawing heavily on 'Serpent Power' energy - this 60 minute cassette engages the listener into a world of spiritual transcendence, with specific focus on Tantra and the awakening of Kundalini.

We really can't express how fond we are of Zaheer & his ongoing effort to effect universal change through the medium of electronic sound.

And special praise be made to XVARR’s partner in cosmic crime, Egypte Erotique, for very kindly donating one of her incredible pieces for the cover art - which was created whilst in the presence of this very special sound collage being conceived.
