Il progetto Seven Stars Clothing co. (7Sc) nasce nel 2002 a Cuneo dall’idea di quattro amici, sk8ers e snowboarders: il portafoglio era un abisso vuoto ma le teste erano piene di idee. In otto anni questi ragazzi ne hanno fatta di strada, partendo da piccole linee di vestiti fino ad avere sponsor di grosso calibro, e la storia della 7Sc è la prova che con la voglia di combattere, la fatica, e il sudore, quello che era solo un sogno di quattro ragazzini, può diventare davvero qualcosa di grosso. Ma andiamo con ordine… Quattro amici provenienti da quattro mondi diversi, inline rollerblade, snowboard, Skate e Breacking & Mc’s decidono di unire le loro forze verso uno modo comune di vivere le loro passioni, e creare una specie di cultura comune, uniti da uno stesso stile che potesse racchiudere insieme tutte le loro esperienze. All’epoca le marche più importanti erano ben differenziate, nelle loro produzioni, a seconda del “mondo” a cui si rivolgevano, perché dunque non crearne uno solo visto quanti punti di congiunzione ci sono tra questi sport estremi? È proprio da qui che nasce il nome 7Sc, le sette stelle del logo rappresentano sette sport diversi: inline rollerblade, skate, snowboard, breacking, bmx, motocross, Mc’s. Unire queste culture è un compito non facile di per sé, ma ancora più difficile se realizzato in un buco del mondo quale è Cuneo City. La voglia di lavorare a questo progetto non nasce dalla voglia di fare soldi, ma di creare una famiglia, unita dallo stesso LIFE STYLE.

Con un piccolo investimento iniziale e l’appoggio dello storico negozio in cui lavorava uno della crew originale, “Fight Gravity” (R.I.P.) nasce la prima collezione che comprendeva soltanto pochi pezzi in due soli modelli: la felpa e la t-shirt. Con il ricavato della prima sfornata si è passati alla produzione di una seconda linea più ampia comprendente due diversi modelli di felpa, pantaloni tuta, t-shirt e altri accessori, le vendite sono andate anche meglio delle previsioni, e il marchio si è consolidato sia a Cuneo che nella provincia. In questo periodo sono arrivate anche le prime feste hip-hop organizzate dalla crew. Dopo un lungo periodo di fiesta (e siesta) e la perdita per abbandono di uno dei quattro componenti, si è arrivati ad una vera e propria rivoluzione e alla scelta di orientarsi più verso uno stile hip-hop, che all’epoca andava per la maggiore, per raggruppare i mondi prima citati. Dopo nottate passate davanti al computer per la creazione di nuovi loghi e modelli, nell’estate 2006 esce una mini collezione promozionale di sole t-shirt in attesa della prima collezione definitiva della nuova era. In questo periodo la famiglia, sempre più allargata, si differenzia nel 7S Studios, diretto da Al Schiavone, legato al filming ed al montaggio video, seguendo gli sk8rs, gli snowboarders, gli artisti Hip-Hop... nel 7S Moovement per l’organizzazione di eventi e serate, con Dj del calibro di Big Mike e con esso nascono i “7S refresh your… party”, che difficilmente qualcuno di Cuneo non conosce o non ricorda! 
E infine la terza e ultima categoria è la 7S Unit per la produzione di artisti musicali, in collaborazione con lo studio di registrazione “neuma”, spinta dal produttore di beat Cereal Killah (ckp). La Seven Stars Unit (Cereal Killah, July B e Rolo Mc) è uscita con un album che suona forte e coinvolge i principali esponenti della Cn Kings! CKP, ad oggi, dopo aver prodotto alcune tracce nel nuovo lavoro di Deeiv “Personale”, sta lavorando al suo primo album come producer che comprenderà collaborazioni con i principali artisti della zona e non solo (si parla di Brooklyn…!!!).

Continuano le serate, le jam e i contest organizzati da 7S… “still representin’ da hood!”… Nuova era, nuovo investimento! Adesso ancora più serio! Come prima cosa arriva la deposizione del marchio “Seven Stars clothing co.” E tutto quello che prima era organizzato da quattro ragazzini ora è ufficiale, e tra l’estate 2007 e l’inverno 2008 esce finalmente la prima collezione ufficiale Seven Stars clothing co. Con più di dodici modelli uomo/donna diversi e più di mille capi prodotti! dopo molte fatiche ce l’hanno fatta anche grazie all’aiuto del nuovo partner: la “Sintra S.r.l.”. Oggi la distribuzione non è più solo un fenomeno della provincia di Cuneo sponsorizzata dal passaparola, ma avviene nei negozi grazie alla PmP distribution di Milano e online grazie alla Mad for Skate e Arsenale della T-shirt (tutta Italia!) e Vendilo Shop E-Bay (tutto il mondo!!!).

DJ LOL: Building Bridges

After being away from the DJ game for approximately 20 years, Luis “DJ LOL” Lopez returns to share his passion with the world – Techno music!  Growing up in NYC, he was greatly influenced by the early generations of Hip Hop, the 80’s pop revolution, and Freestyle sounds.  Additionally, he studied music for 6 years throughout high school and college years.  “Music is in my blood.”  Plus, he was a DJ for 10 years.  “I was a Technics 1200 and Gemini mixer guy. My passion was mixing sounds together.” Intimidated by the new technology, he stayed away from mixing for many years.  “As many people in my generation, technology filters slowly.” As a Father’s Day present, his daughter got him a DJ controller…and the rest is history.
  
“I fell in love with Techno after watching the first 5 minutes of Blade.”  From this point on, he has carefully followed the music of Carl Cox, Pig and Dan, Carlo Lio, Avicii, and John Digweed.  Now, he is also creating some cool sounds for people to play and enjoy. “This wasn’t my plan.  I was just putting together rhythms and beats to use during my events.  I wanted to bridge songs together with quick hot beats.”  However, he says, these bridges grew into longer, fun sounds. “Listeners can enjoy some neat and unique Techno. Dj’s can use them as bridges or play the entire track!” Either way, DJ LOL will make you move and groove.

Bio Jamez:

Dutch producer Jamez has had a hand in more good records than most of us have had hot dinners. Apart from the by-no-means trifling matter of co-producing  house record – 51 Days’ ‘Paper Moon’ – he’s also been at the birth of the Trancesetters, the splendidly-named Tata Box Inhibitors, P.I.M.P., Loophole, Amfibian, Mindfunk and an ever-expanding list of inventively-spelt production credits. You’d wonder, looking at the fellow’s discography, whether he ever got any kip (we’ve been assured by his family that he does).

Jamez, for those that haven’t been paying attention, was part of a Dutch triumvirate – the other two being Dobre and DJ Zki – that helped transform European house music in the early 90s. Working closely with Dutch outfit Touché Records, they produced a series of consistently great singles of wildly differing styles ranging from the jazzy (Jamshed), deep (51 Days) and the acclaimed harder style of Tata Box Inhibitors and Trancesetters. While most UK DJ's looked to the US for new records, oddly, lots of American DJs – Danny Tenaglia being a particular fan – championed this new European style (Underworld’s Darren Emerson was also an early supporter of Touché’s releases).

Like many a young European, Jamez was turned on to dance music via the burgeoning rap scene of the eighties, before hooking up with Dobre who, as luck would have it, had a small home-studio. Experiments in dance ensued. A meeting with DJ Zki at a radio station completed the Three Musketeers’ line-up. Early releases came out through fellow countryman Robin ‘Jaydee’ Albers’ First Impressions label, but it was through Touché Records – started with Dobre – that Jamez and his cohorts gained international recognition.
Both 51 Days’ mournful ‘Paper Moon’ and Trancesetters’ heavy-hitting ‘The Search’ were massive New York club hits. Plenty of others were staples in DJs’ boxes around the world, probably because Jamez has mastered the art of syncopated and punchy beats, mellifluous keyboards and catchy hooks. Soulful dance music, in other words. As a remixer, Jamez is no slouch, either, having turned in superb mixes of Paperclip People’s ‘The Climax’, X-Press 2’s strident ‘The Sound’, Humate's 'Choose Life' and a stunning rerub of Der Dritte Raum’s ‘Alienoid’, transforming it into a hypnotically textural house cut. The list goes on and on.

After more than 100 releases on world class labels, numerous remixes and many appearances on compilations, he definetly put his mark down.

As a DJ he also did his part. Flying from one city to the other, keeping the crowds shouting for more. His mix of techno and tech house takes the listener on a journey through unknown territories, well known hights and deep smooth plains.

After a well deserved sabbatical Jamez returned to the scene in 2008, where he hooked up with Soulboy. In the summer of 2009 Christian Smith (Smith & Selway) did a remix for Trancesetters 'The Search'. The track had big support from Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, John Digweed and Adam Beyer. Together with Soulboy, they produced the track Surface Tension, which was in 2009 Kevin Saunderson's summers favourite and was frequently heard on Ibiza Global Radio. Not only he is frequently asked for remixes but 2010 will be the year of launching his own label Repressure Recordings together with Soulboy and his management team A&G Agency.
In 2012 Jamez left Repressure to focus all his attention on his label Rough Cut Records. The sister label of Touché records which he started in 1995. Aim of the label is to try to be a bit different then everyone else. A mixture between all electronic music styles is possible.
