@marwanfilali is a Marseille based architect & DJ, also behind the record label and website RA/OI (www.rareandorinteresting.com). 

RA/OI nicely balances a blog and record store specialising in, you guessed it, rare and / or interesting records - along with commentary on various discoveries by Marwan and like-minded record collectors. 

He also recently launched a record label under the same name, with a killer first release of irresistible Franco-Afro boogie by French Senegalese artist Joe Sembene (available in stores now).

Closing our Islander Cast season 1 we're extremely pumped to bring you Pitaya Soundsystem! A DJ collective and party starters from Italy, taking over Parisian dancefloors with a romantic fusion of disco, balearic, rare groove, proto-house and ancestral rhythms. 

What we love about Soundcloud and these podcasts is the sense of community. Earlier this summer we travelled to Florence to attend The Zero Beghe festival organised by the lads. Intimate but explosive, the guys pulled together some of our other favourites (https://soundcloud.com/barbaraboeing & https://soundcloud.com/jamesfalco) to deliver an unforgettable experience in the rolling hills of Tuscany. From here we couldn't wait to see what they'd cook up for this finale cast.
