Saitō Sanki (1900 – 1962) was a dentist who discovered his passion for haiku poetry in his mid-thirties, when his colleagues at the hospital in Soto Kanda convinced him to write a haiku for a collection. Later, he became one of the most important exponents of wartime haiku: he was imprisoned in 1940 during the government’s World War II persecution of controversial artists, and was officially forbidden to write until the end of the war.

Prima cosa, un doveroso ringraziamento a Remo De Vico, che ha offerto gratutamente diversi AMXD di sua progettazione.  Grazie soprattutto per i 4 progetti di Ableton riguardanti varie tecniche di Musica Generativa.

Per questo pezzo ho usato il primo progetto, che ha pilotato vari strumenti, tra cui i soliti piani preparati, 3 contrabbassi e un clarinetto.

Lamp of the Lost is part of Unfound, a series of ambient tracks exploring places that exist just beyond memory - corridors, thresholds, and emotional locations that were never fully reached.

This track revolves around a solitary light left burning for someone who never arrived. A guide without a traveler. A signal still transmitting into the fog.

Slow-moving textures, restrained harmonics, and distant echoes create a sense of suspended time — music for quiet searching, reflection, and liminal drifting.
