Mikey Flexx aka The Madd Ninja has been DJ’ing since he was 15 years old starting off on the Reggae/Dancehall scene in and around the Birmingham area doing private parties (weddings and functions etc) for family and friends and promoting and DJ’ing at many underground events.
After building himself a good rapport at such a young age, Mikey Flexx (then known as ‘Mr Vibez’) spent the next 4 years working at many carnivals across the UK such as Leicester, Preston, Nottingham and Birmingham.
Mikey Flexx’s nightclub career started at Tramps Nightclub, Worcester where his weekly residency of Friday and Saturday nights continued for the next 4 years.  His skills in multi-genre music (including R’n’B, HipHop, UK Garage, House and Reggae/Bashment etc) was acknowledged and Mikey Flexx was offered a Sunday night residency at Tramps’ sister club, Velvet (Worcester), where the weekends became the regions hottest spot to be.
Mikey Flexx’s popularity and relationships with club promoters in the nightclub scene resulted in multiple bookings within the UK including London, Swindon, and Bristol.
For a period of time, Mikey Flexx, alongside his DJ partner, worked a weekly prime time Saturday slot on Birmingham’s legal radio station, Big City Radio.  During his time on this station, Mikey Flexx gained a NCFE Level 2 award in Radio Production, which includes achievements in creating a radio programme, developing skills for community radio and radio presentation.
In 2009, Mikey Flexx was approached to take part in a ‘Live’ R’n’B/Slowjam DJ competition in Birmingham and was proud to walk away with the winner’s trophy title which he still holds to date. This competition had a major impact on his career in the music scene and as such he as established himself as one of the most sought after DJ’s in Birmingham.
Within days of winning this competition, Mikey Flexx secured DJ work with the biggest Urban promoters in the West Midlands playing at several major events in the area and was lucky enough to be offered residencies at two of Birmingham’s longest running Urban night spots; Friday nights at Oh Velvet and Saturday nights at Sugar Suite which he is still currently DJ’ing at.
The experience Mikey Flexx has gained over the years allows him to surprise the crowd with his many talents and he is renowned for his upbeat and crazy style of mixing.  If there is one thing Mikey Flexx always ensures, it is that the clubbers enjoy their night and they leave the clubs hungry for the next session.

Simon Porter is a British composer writing for film and television. He also writes for commercials, trailers, theatre, interactive media and concert performance, drawing on a diverse range of influences accrued during more than 20 years as a drummer and percussionist. 

In the UK, his music can be heard on My Mediterranean with Adrian Chiles, Fifty Golden Years of Sport on BBC Two, and Pistorius Trial: The Key Questions, amongst others, whilst in the US, selected credits include the 2014 Miami Masters Tennis, WWE Smackdown, The Hunt with John Walsh, and Ultimate Fighting Champion. 

In 2016, he scored the advert Truffles from the new Passions campaign for Booking.com, which broadcast throughout the UK, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. His track Streets featured in the trailer for the 2015 thriller The Walk, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ben Kingsley, while another of his tracks, Pursuant, was used in the advertising campaign for the 2014 legal drama, The Divide, on WE tv. 

In addition to regular writing for television and independent film, Simon has worked on numerous campaign films for charities and NGOs in the UK, including those for The World Economic Forum, The Finance Innovation Lab, The National Trust, and Global Witness - the latter of which was screened at the TED Global conference in Rio de Janeiro in October 2014. In April 2014, Simon was commissioned by The Bridgeman Singers to write a choral anthem - set to George Herbert's 17th century text, Vertue - which premiered in London in November that year. As a music producer, Simon has worked with a number of UK-based singer-songwriters, most recently including Mike d'Abo (Handbags and Gladrags, Build Me Up Buttercup). Simon writes demo material, creates patches and carries out beta testing for music software developers such as Strezov Sampling, Wide Blue Sound, and Embertone. 

Simon writes from his home studio in southwest London, where he can also be found pursuing ethnomusicology, photography, compiling lists, and drinking tea, medium strength, with milk and no sugar. He was also one of the Pandemonium Drummers who performed at the ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

If you ever went to The Hacienda during the years of 1990 to 1994, you probably went on after leaving the Hac to party 'til dawn at the legendary Epping Walk after party in Hulme.
An infamous illegal party in two 'converted' flats (on Epping Walk, hence the name), it boasted a better sound system(built by the Maestro Kevin Lowe) than many of the legal clubs in Manchester at that time. Resident DJs Billy Caldwell, Paul 'Nipper' Heal, DJ Mully and their many guests, would spin an eclectic mix of Chicago House, Techno , Balearic Beats and off beat classics to a packed house from 2am 'til 10am every Friday and Saturday morning.
"We'd look out from the booth sometimes, and just pinch ourselves " says Billy, "We'd see Happy Mondays, New Order, The Roses, Inspiral Carpets and Tony Wilson to name a few... all partying their faces off, alongside some of Moss Side and Manchester's most colourful characters. Nobody cared, the vibe was incredible... I know this sounds cheesy but it really was 'all about the music and the party'... crazy days... amazing times!"Last year The Epping Walk Crew decided to throw a re union party at The Saluation in Hulme and it was an incredible success with 'Heads' coming from far and wide to dance the night away to a selection of Club Classics spanning the last 20 years and this year we are doing all over again.
