May 19th marks the day of my childhood best friends passing. Losing him at such a young age was a tragedy. We shared so many wild adventures and new experiences, he was like a brother. After I moved to LA, flying home for Christmas was the only time I got to see him. You never know when it’s the last time your going to see someone so enjoy every moment with those you love. Rest well my friend you are still by my side! This track features the amazing violin work of the incredibly talented Joylin and my JCB brother Dean playing bass and making everything sound like magic in a speaker. Can’t thank them enough!

When I came up with my stage name for SoundCloud,
I imagined an old organ grinder with his monkey and money cup,
cranking away on a street corner of an old cobblestone village.
But these days, the street corner was even older, as was the man himself,
along with his old synthesizer. The monkey is long gone, in case you were wondering.

Actually, I was quite surprised when the image that appeared got my glasses and my beard right, and even my blue shirt along with a pocket (where I keep my pocket protecter full of pens and pencils). Heck, it could almost have been my photo.

I'm not sure what it looks like in the rest of the United States but in the Northeast here all of our trees and plants that are usually vibrant green this time of year are faded and washed out looking, like they aren't getting nearly enough sunlight.  If you've been paying attention for the past year or two the government and media have been laying the groundwork to put the blame on climate change but those of us that use more of our brains than most others know what's really going on. If you don't know and you think those of us that do are crazy conspiracy nuts then look in the mirror and you will see the real problem.  And remember,  yesterday's conspiracies are today's realities.

Willy Da Funky Kid is a 29-year-old rapper from Copenhagen. He has been making music for almost 5 years, but music, and especially rap, has been with him all his life.

Since Willy discovered rap in elementary school, the genre became a great source of inspiration in his life. Major American artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Logic, and J. Cole, has had great effect on Willy.
Their well-written lyrics with rhythmic flows - about both good and bad, made Willy fall in love with everything about HipHop. It was everything from the style of clothing, the jargon, the graffiti to, of course, the music itself.

Willy is gradually becoming an established rap artist himself. He has released 3 projects as well as a number of singles, all of which have been well received. In music, his positive nature is often expressed in the form of "keep your head up"-type lyrics along with motivational bars. Willy has teamed up with multiple rappers across the globe. Among those are Jerome The Prince, TJ Hickey and several other rappers.

Willy is heavily influenced by old-school boom bap, but also partly by the newer 808-driven style. Willy is active on all platforms, and has music videos on YouTube.
