If this were paint, I would say as much figurative as abstract, as brutal as sophisticated, as hard as soft, bright-dark, as line oriented as surface/texture as color... and on and on. HIT-PARADE: all №1 (october 2021)

It has been a productive few weeks in Laminar Flow HQ and we are seriously excited to enlighten you through various announcements in the coming months!

First off we are eager to announce that Know-Wave will be the new home for 'LMF Radio' mix series going forward with plans to develop into a podcast like show, where we will have an initial hour showcasing and talking about the finest in off-kilter sonics and the regular guestmix in the second hour.

This month’s guest mix goes out via Know Wave's Mixcloud this Saturday night (26th) and is the work of @digitonica AKA Anna Morskaya. Expect incredibly introspective works, using a mixture of vocal techniques, sewn together into musical works governed by avant-garde styles drawing influences from glitch, techno and romantic classical music manipulated into contemporary forms riddled with deconstructed percussion.

Space Textures Studio Sessions - 004 - Kairogen

Fresh from her release on Textures 3 with 'White Sands' Glasgow based Kairogen joins us for our 4th session.

Kairogen produces and DJs electronic music which loosely fits within the techno sphere, bringing ambient, experimental and melodic elements into her own interpretation of the sound.

She first began producing whilst studying at art school, drifting between creating sound art compositions and club tracks.  2021 saw her debut on Soma Records with her ambient piece ‘Mineral’.

Working with music, visual art and digital media has formed a wide area of exploration for the artist and a desire to create works that blur the boundaries between genres and contexts which only continues to evolve.

For this edition Kairogen has recorded a live ambient session merging her own creations to form a wonderful flowing off world journey.

 I wanted to express gravitational pull of the moon and the rise and fall of the tides by using lots of tiny noises and other instruments .

Ambient Live for Tidal Force !! @ Nepo吉祥寺 2021-1012

I have recorded the acoustic guitar in my home-studio with the doors open, you can hear some background noises like birds, cars in the distance. I have added a drone to the recording and a strange delay which sampled fragments from the recorded guitar and randomly give it back.

About the album:
I have continued to work with A=432Hz tuning, exploring the possibilities of sustained sounds. I have been working towards an even more static atmosphere than on my previous albums.

I'm very interested in the role of time in this kind of music. The sounds have a different effect and meaning depending on how long they last. To me, the music becomes a vehicle to accomplish a meditative state.

高円寺でOriental Forceという小さなUndergroundなLive / Dj バー、Creative Spceを運営しています。自身はOriental Loveという名義で、電子音楽を中心に現代の民族音楽を志しています。

I run Creative Space, a small, underground live/DJ bar in Koenji called Oriental Force. Under the name Oriental Love, I aspire to create modern folk music, with a focus on electronic music.

I hope to create a space that is endlessly free, endlessly fun, endlessly intense and beautiful, and endlessly gentle.
