I loved working on this album and I hope you enjoy the experience too. Its a lot of fun !
My inspiration for "Killer Instinct" was to compile an up-tempo, uplifting musical journey that would explore a myriad of captivating sounds and vocals, from the well - known to the obscure. 

The album includes samples from the likes of Scratch Perry(he produced for Bob Marley, The Clash and the Beastie Boys),  Manu Chao as well as the new release by Argy earlier this year called Tataki.

"Killer Instinct" kicks off with a brilliant bootleg of Chris Isaaks - Wicked Game, it takes you on a wild, fun ride of twists and turns which finally culminate in one of my all time favorite afro - melodic tracks at 1hr:40 by King Sifiso and finishes with a classic you all know and love  -   Julien Jabres - Swimming Places (Purple Disco Machine Rmx)

The lovely Niki Sadeki based out in Vancouver is an absolute treasure. She has been on the music scene for a number of years and has recently developed her very own unique style when she is behind the decks by her selection of quality deep tunes and how she arranges them depending on her mood of the moment. She can adapt to any time of the day by making the sun shine brighter during a sunset session or by making the 4 am night darkness more powerful. A DJ who has caught the attention of wonderful podcasts such as Deep House Tehran, Electronic Groove and Ethereal Kollektiv and it is therefore an absolute pleasure to be able to share one of her mix tapes via our podcast.

This mix is quality from start to finish and was inspired by her recent trip to the dusty playa at Burning Man earlier this year. If you happen to be passing through Vancouver, make sure you check her upcoming gigs as she will be warming up for a number of big DJs over the coming months and I can guarantee it will be pure madness!

Let me start by saying how good it feels to be able to play for a limited amount of people again. Made possible by @radionamsterdam and my @houseofchi family, we gathered in the expo room of Radion and danced the pandemic away. 

This 1 hour set was my opening set. After me, @deepfilip did 1 hour as well and we ended with a 2.5 hour B2B session.

Often within the realm of nightlife, the closing DJ receives the most recognition for a wild night of celebration despite the fact that the most challenging and nuanced job is that of the opening DJ.  In order to properly have that late night blast off, a room must be guided toward a state of both connection and excitement.  

This past November, Duddha navigated this crucial task in a way that was beautiful, eclectic, and absolutely innovative.  He warmed up the room with groovy tracks featuring vocalists and organic percussion, curating an atmosphere that invited dancing and community kinship.  Once there, he set off on a colorful exploration of textures, moods and even genres, creating a set that pushed the expectations of what an opening set can be.
