I a value free speech, personal freedom, smaller government in people’s lives
free thought, civil liberties, open debate 
I once believed in progress as a force for good, but I grew tired of watching truth be silenced in the name of conformity. Ideals that were meant to lift people up were twisted into tools for control and manipulation. I realized that empathy for the cruel is cruelty to the innocent — and that standing by in silence makes you complicit. I haven’t abandoned compassion or reason; I’ve just refused to let ideology blind me to honesty and common sense long ago and I am tired of my relationships and Thoughts being tested as value, I am and always have been a dissenter refuse to go along with the dominant belief, system, or authority. I question orthodox rhetoric and won’t blindly conform, even if everyone else is chanting the same thing Please, I respect your beliefs and opinions but respect mine as well and we will get along fine. For years as a USMC veteran I have been called horrible awful things and had my life and career threatened if I didn’t go with the crowd. Thats not why I served.

I pledged allegiance to a choir,
