Tyrie Hames: aka TDH was born and raised in Buffalo New York, growing up Tyrie couldn’t avoid music even if he’d wanted to. With his father figure Michael, being an accomplished musician and his biological father a well know DJ, Tyrie was surrounded by music. At an early age Tyrie was recognized for his ability to write songs but after years of lyric writing became frustrated with the riggers of acquiring and using other people’s beats.
As Tyrie puts it “it got old to me and I felt it was time to do things my self. Paying for beats was acceptable to a point, you know depending on the quality of the beat and how much I liked it. For the most part I felt it wasn’t allowing me to be as creative as I wanted”.
Tyrie begun to experiment with creating his own beats using FL Studio and Adobe Audition and samples form any era or genre of music he could get his hands on like the classic of the 70’s and 80’s to Rock, Pop and his personal favorites R&B and Soul. Soon after Tyrie decided to know all he could about music and its creation which begun a journey that would lead him to learning how to read music, then becoming immersed in the different chord progressions of the piano greats which has resulted in Tyrie developing into a true composer, “the man behind the melody” as he is referred to within the industry. Like best friend and production partner Richie Rich Tyrie has cultivated a unique sound and style which is sought after by independent artist nation wide and abroad.

Just a young man who moved from his small town in South Carolina to the big city of LA because his dreams were to big for his town.
