This is the first Music4Aliens Podcast of the year, the first of the new series. We start with Rosper, well known spanish minimal techno dj/producer. One our of great minimal and techno. Enjoy!

Bio:
Emilio Rozalen aka Rosper, born in Spain in September 1988, is a DJ and producer of electronic music influenced by Dark Minimal and Techno sounds.
He pushed himself into electronic music production in 2010, but it was in 2014 when he took his current name and entered in top 100 minimal of Beatport with his first release as "Rosper" in one of the most shaped labels of Techno music, Stick Recordings.
He already has numerous references, among them his several releases by SCI+TEC, of which one of them has been able to publish in physical format with his track 'Revenge'. Collaborations and
remixes with artists such as Alberto Ruiz, Miro Pajic or Maksim Dark among others, they place it as one of the Dark Techno and Minimal producers with most proyection of Spain, counting with the support of Dubfire or Nicole Moudaber among others in his numerous performances worldwide.
Rosper has performed in various clubs and festivals in Spain, Germany and India including Drop (Mumbai), Freqs Of Nature (Berlin) Pacha (Barcelona) or Barraca (Valencia), club count with him from several years ago. Therefore, he has extensive experience in the booths.
In short, we might say that Rosper has a style that leaves no one indifferent and is currently in top moment.

Offroad Is The Space Between

Following its Brazil-World release collaboration plan, Clash Music brings a class-A team to the table. Anthony Rother is the name of the game with the exclusive track called "Man Up the Hill", a direct homage to our country with which Rother holds great affection.

Rother's signature retro analog electro synthesizer sounds come together with almost spoken vocals that talks about a "man up in the hill" (Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer), all surrounded by futuristic ambiences and melodic lines.

Summing up the original electro idea into a more hypnotic and minimal interpretation, Gui Boratto delivers a stylish remix that shows why he is Brazil's most acknowledge music producer at the moment.

It is an epic EP that will surely hold up to Clash Music's exclusive releases.

We were lucky enough to have Heimlich play at our inaugural Flow Event at The Sage Club In Berlin, look out for the footage. We look forward to the artists description once it is translated from German... Thank you Deep. This mix starts almost in a folky vein but at 45 minutes really gets into it's groove. You will absolutely be captivated but the sheer talent and imagination that is H.K.

Flow Sessions 028 - Heimlich Knüller

Last’s years debut for Pets Recordings saw Uffe impress with the luxuriantly textured and deep ‘Colors Inside’. Amsterdam based Uffe’s next offering for Catz ‘N Dogz’s label goes even further to indulge their penchant for downtempo and complex house hybrids. After recent releases on Crosstown Rebels and Tartelet, 'Times All’ for Pets sees Uffe proudly voice an ‘if you don’t know, get to know’ statement on behalf of his unique and experimental compositions.   

Opening track ‘All I Did’ instantly swells with Uffe’s measured yet intriguing vocal, loaded with effects. His voice assumes the same status as the rest of his electronic repertoire as synth chords, strings and original vox echo, twang and expand with warmth, before a classic 4x4 kick becomes the beating heart of the track. Jon Convex takes charge of the ‘All I Did’ remix on the B-side, allowing the beat to thump harder as uncomfortable buzzes and static flit around Uffe’s looped vocal making for perfect techy dance floor fodder.

INTERVIEW

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
"Daily life impressions, emotions, atmospheres and places around the world. Also a night out listening to impressive dj’s brings me a lot, which is not much happening at the moment with the current situation of the clubs being closed and I recognized I miss a lot of inspiration from that. But it's interesting that I'm forced to find other sources to get inspiration from. For example I love visual arts and paintings, which I can use to get inspiration from. Also I visit a lot of abandoned places for my events which are all different and have different atmospheres, this gives me a lot of ideas as well. Besides that, I can also get very inspired by simply starting jamming in the studio without any clear goal."

How do you stay focussed in a world of constant distraction?
"I take time to plan in a few days where I only work on music and do nothing else. I am quite quickly distracted, impulsive and all over the place mostly. So I need to have my working place and be able to close myself off."

Do you have a morning routine?
"Not at all, I'm a night person so mostly I start my day after morning."

What fascinates you about your art?
"Several things. It’s a nice feeling to create something out of nothing and I love the way I can travel in my own mind and thoughts through sound. I can listen and work for hours on music and get through different thoughts, feelings and emotions. This works as a sort of meditation which is needed for me. The social way music connects is very fascinating as well. Meeting so many people at different places which I get connected with by sharing the same art, doing projects and learning from each other. And keeping to learn producing music is never ending. There is so much you can create and discover, you can go as far as you want which never gets boring."

What for you is the purpose of art?
"Expression, for me it’s all an expression of life."
