Dream Maze is the solo project directed by the multi-instrumentalist Carlos López, an eighteen year-old musician that resides in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Coming from a Mexican background and living part of his life in Monterrey, México; Carlos’ first music influences were Mexican Hip-Hop and Classic Psychedelic Rock. Growing up he starts learning guitar, bass guitar and saxophone which later on led to learning how to produce music by the age of sixteen. Shifting his music style and influences into a more synth-based and jazz influenced sound, but keeping the aesthetic of Old School Hip-Hop drums and psychedelic sounds makes up the main sound of Dream Maze.
