Gimpmode AKA Matthew Fox is a rising Atlanta artist in the Dubstep, Drumstep, Trapstep, and Drum & Bass scenes—often fusing all styles of music into his sets. Starting hard with D&B in 2001, Gimpmode was drawn to the early sounds of Andy C’s Ram Records and Bad Company’s BC Recordings. As any local can attest, Gimpmode had gravitated early to the sound of Jump-Up/Wobble (emphasis on Original Sin, Taxman, DJ Friction, and Simon Bassline Smith).

After moving to Atlanta in 2005, Gimpmode became integrated with the heavy-hitting local scene by joining forces initially with 404audio and Corinthian Recordings and subsequently with Atlanta Dubstep and Trillitary. In 2008 he formed WOBBLE HOUSE to promote several shows and followed the sounds he had originally perpetuated through their evolution among genres to arrive at the cross-pollinated sounds of Dubstep and Trap music he favors today. In intricate sets featuring heavy and eclectically paired songs, Gimpy smashes one double-drop after another with no remorse. On stage, he pays homage to Doctor P, Flux Pavillion, Nero, Chase & Status , Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Ludacris, and any gritty circus wobble trap sound that crosses his path.

Gimpmode has shared the stage with renowned talents such as Original Sin, Pendulum, Chase & Status, Ed Rush & Optical, Simon Bassline Smith, DJ SS, 12th Planet, TrillBass, Mary Anne Hobbs, The Upbeats , MC Skibadee, Evol Intent, Klever, Drop the Lime, Ultrablack, Scuba, Loefa, Treasure Fingers, Baby Anne, Telemetrik, Danny the Wildchild, DJ Shortee, Freaky Flow, Stanton Warriors, , Benny Page & AC Slater and many more.

Currently, Gimpmode hits the studio with the help of friends Trench, Ricky Raw, Armanni Reign, and power grimey wobble duo Mantis to beget numerous hood anthem mashups, hard wobble bass tracks… and from time to time, some almost certainly offensive “comedy-step.” Now, he is determined to take it to the next level and make Wobble House an everyday name. Gimpy is going nowhere but up with a distinct taste in wobble bass sound, his certifiably maniacal antics, and his penchant for absolutely destroying any club with a pair of turntables.

You most likely will either love or fucking hate Gimpy, but you will always remember him. He will make sure of it. "Double Drop or GTFO."

With such momentum we are paying focus to the freshest local scene in our home (where the heart is!) of ATL, and amassing collaborations with preeminent and like-minded talents: bringing fans a diverse matrix of expert skill sets behind united visionary ambitions. A rough truce divides the known galaxy between the System, the despotic slave empire that rules the inner systems, and the Confederation of Free Worlds, claiming the awesome infinity of the Outvac frontier. When Squad Beta of the ConFree Legion drops onto the primitive world of Andrion 2 to counter a mysterious System incursion, they know the Systies are out there somewhere, armored DefCorps soldiers waiting to slice them to bloody bits in a microfrac. As he travels further into the dark Thinker finds both love and death, and realizes that the Legion has always been his destiny. He is torn between his desire for the violently possessive Valkyrie and the sweet innocent Priestess. The squad is soon seeking its fate in a series of suicidal attacks on hostile planets against an enemy that has never known defeat. Beta One says they are going to change history, but Thinker doesn't care about history. He cares only about Beta and his closest comrades. As the dead begin to outnumber the living he vows ruthless vengeance against his enemies. He knows the stakes are a lot higher than his immediate survival — and that Beta Three is not just along for the ride.

The ConFree Legion offers both immortality and death to the young and foolish. Thinker doesn't mind — all he wants is to see the future. As a soldier of the Legion he knows his fate is to die under strange stars, for the Legion. He is determined to survive as long as possible and to go out with a very high body count. Beta Three is a fatalist, a dreamer, a believer. He doesn't know what the future holds — but he knows he will be facing his enemies when he dies.

Soldier of the Legion is the first book of a six-part series that follows Thinker's adventures in the service of the people of ConFree.

This impressive audiobook is an unabridged, full cast audio of Soldier of the Legion, Book One of the Soldier series. It was produced by Timberwolf Press, the original publisher of Book One. There are no audiobooks for the five other books in the series. The author would love to produce full cast audios of the entire series, but Timberwolf Press is no longer in business and the author has not found any audio producers willing to take on the task. I am known as a very enthusiastic, passionate lover of all things music and deejaying. My favourite quote from another DJ I was playing with on the same night came after only about 30 seconds of us changing over, I put my CD in the deck and got started as quickly as I could, when I finished my mix he just said to me “i can tell you're a guy who just loves to perform.” That quote hit the nail on the head.
I would describe my style of deejaying as exciting and surprising. I like to play as many tracks as possible as quickly as I can without compromising the quality of the track which gives my audiences no chance of standing still on the floor!
I play a mixture of all styles of house music but the music I play has to have a good positive feel to it, I listen mainly for quality vocals, instruments like piano's & saxophones and a bass-line that will shake every bone in your body. I like to drop in some surprises in my sets too, sometimes, depending on my crowd, an old classic hip-hop track might appear or it could be an absolute anthem from yesteryear, no matter what it is people wont ever forget it!

Biography

My deejaying career started from the tender age of 16 when I first discovered house music from listening to a friends radio show. I was determined to learn the art of mixing and club deejaying so I became an avid listener of his show and went with him religiously every week to his residency in a small town in the UK. I studied the way he read his audience whilst gathering lots of knowledge about all styles of music ranging from 80's disco funk, the birth of house music in the late 80's & early 90's, hip hop, r&b, soulful/funky house, tech house, electro house & trance music.

After gaining the experience I needed to become a Deejay and learnt how to mix I had earned myself regular slots mixing on Steve's radio show. I was then offered a chance to host my very own full time radio show at the young age of 17, this was the perfect chance to get my career started.  I went on to host my show “the trancemission” for nearly a year playing brand new upfront house and trance music, basically it was the big room club live on your radio. From this point onwards it didn't take nightclub owners in my area long to call me asking me to play in there clubs. 

After 2 years by the age of 18 I had played in many of the nightclubs in my area of UK, playing several big nights in the UK club calendar such as new year, Christmas & Halloween. In the next 2 years I had several residencies in clubs/bars throughout the UK one of which saw me playing in front of at least 800 people every week. This was when I knew deejaying was my passion so I decided to take it to the next level.

At the back end of 2009 I started working for Marc Williams the owner of the legendary Ibiza Untouched, who provide entertainment for nightclubs all over the UK. In a very short space of time I had deejayed in Liquid nightclub in Essex & Lava & Ignite nightclub in Hemel Hempstead (London), Aruba nightclub in Middlesbrough, Redcar, Zanzibar nightclub in Stockton (North England) & Grand Central nightclub in Skegness.

Marc had such confidence in my ability that after working for him in the UK for only 6 months he decided to send me for my biggest challenge yet............a residency in Pangaea Nightclub, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, this was a huge challenge for me as I had to play for people from all over the world including Russia, England, Italy, Norway, Sweden, America, Spain & The Arab Emirates. This was a very successful gig for me and I ended up playing alongside some of the best DJ's in the world including DJ Kuta who had a hit single “Set You Free” with his group N-Trance, Missy Dj (ES Paradis & Hed Kandi resident in ibiza), Bruno Brookes former radio 1 breakfast show host and host of top of the pops in the UK and I have also support Deejayed for Boney M, S Club & Right Said Fred. I was also filmed for television adverts promoting night-life in Sharm El Sheikh and from that came my professional promotional video (which can be viewed on my Facebook page “Dave Bartlett” or in my fan group “DJ Doctor D” 

Unfortunately late in 2010 I had to return to the UK due to family commitments and I had a short break from deejaying until may 2011 I was asked to go to Salou, Cataluna, Spain, to DJ in Ministry, Salou, a club aimed at reaching out to Spanish, Russian & English house music lovers. 

As of october 2011 i now have a saturday night residency in my hometown at ninety degrees nightclub which is where you can catch me every saturday night 

Rebelinx aka Linx is a talented artist who grew up in and around metro Toronto area. In his teens, he created a band ‘Genius of Funk’ with LaSalle Stephens (long time producer for RnB artist ‘Carol Cox’) He won musician of the year at his high school and after went on the road busking and getting a scholarship to study in Vancouver and while studying there he started running a successful Art Gallery (‘Soul Art’) and after-hours Jazz joint that got write ‘up in the local entertainment mag ‘Georgia Sraight’. He moved to Montreal, and started an artist alliance ‘Rebel Art Society’. Now enrolled in Concordia Univ. for film production and music. During an exchange in Paris/France he created a 10 piece acid-jazz ensemble while making his first 35mm feature film but fell ill and unable to complete his projects & studies. Determined Linx moved back to Vancouver hooking up with a young artist Chris Guy a.ka Clev working out of Hipposonic studio along side artists Swollen Members/Nelly Furtado / The Rascal, etc. They teamed up to do the soundtrack of Linx film “Fade to Black: BloodChild” that also became the new name of his production alliance replanted in the city (Fade to Black Entertainment). The goal was to produce an album compilation of unity with the black film & music community that later landing him write ups in local news and magazines. It toured Europe and was award in Poland, the UK and Spain. Clev&Linx teamed up again and recorded their second album ‘Dope New Soul Cats’, while Linx was living in Madrid/Spain. With many artists including Malcolm Jamal Warner (The Cosbey Show), Juno award producer Joey Turco, and DJ Mat “The Alien”. Linx suffered meningitis in Madrid paralyzing the muscels in face to landing him in a coma where he almost died. It took 3years and while recovering made a solo album ‘Fistula’ and dedicated it to Vancouver St. Paul’s hospital and all it’s nurses, Doctor’s. & staff. Linx devoted his time to community celebrating Afro–Canadian heritage in film & music. Now fully back Linx has produced his first international jazz album entitled ‘Destiny’. A collaboration of talented musicians from Juno award artist Devon aka ‘Metro’ Martin, to Grammy award recording engineers Yas Inoue & Walter Coelho of New Yorks Master of Works Little Louie Vega. He recently debut the album in Vancouver, New York and now Bulgaria. A uniquely electric jazz-fusion meets world beat and dance album.

Damien Dane was born Joseph Daniel Cannon in Houston, TX on December 22, 1976.  He grew up in a little blip on the radar called New Caney which is about 40 miles north of Houston and if you blink, you would totally miss it. Throughout childhood, Damien enjoyed writing music even as early as age 9, however there didn't seem to be much of a response since Country/Western and Gospel were the chosen genre of the times where he lived. Coming from a small town, Damien felt a little out of place, since music and drama we're nothing close to football and therefore shunned as girly as in most hickvilles.  He took Shotokan Karate where he earned a black belt, competed on swim team in High School, and was accepted into the Air Force but couldn't deny the entertainment bug that was gnawing away at his will to lead a normal life.

So on a really incredible LSD trip, Damien, who was performing under the name The Reverend Doctor Lotus V. Moonblossom V, and 2 of his fellow clubkids, Madame Zoe Elise and Zen D'iva, Sovereign of Cuntquistador,  who had frequented Heaven, and Club Some nightly took off on a trip of self discovery, along with discovering a lot of other peoples "selves" to the town that's big and easy... New Orleans, LA.

NOLA was a great and vibrant place not yet labeled as the city that Katrina hit and Damien played every venue he could from the bar to the bathhouse.  Sometimes even in drag, he was determined to find his self.  

After enjoying the fruits of the crescent city, Damien returned to Houston to star in Boy Meets Boy, Saturday Night at Billy's and the hit Broadway All Male, All Nude musical revue, "Naked Boy's Singing" for 2 runs.

He began concentrating more intensely on music after a series of counterproductive and sometimes overlapping relationships that seemingly always ended in drunken anger.  Luckily that is the fodder for fantastic songwriting.

His last show, Flaming Of The Shrew brought packed houses at The Betsy Stage in Denver.

Palestinian Israel-Jones are a collective. Palestinian Israel Jones are wanderers, nomads, free making spirits bound together by a conviction that borders, tribes, walls, partitions, windows, fences and finances are to be smashed into splinters of imagination. Ye are the Wicked Witches. Begone!

What can we say here that is not ego-based? What can anyone say about themselves without laughing in the mirror? Why does the caged bird sing? (props to M. Angelou, don't sue us, please) Cause that's all he's got. And that's what we got, Isgott (Irkh Ahmeet). It's just music man, free of oppression and calling for freedom for all and the right to do what ain't prescribed by doctor, teacher, preacher and every self-appointed emperor and his logocentric, ethnocentric advertisement made of fake, blended cloth. We ask you, what is wrong with a robe and some rope?

We are interested in Animal/Human/Cellular liberation, macrobiotic and raw foods, scrap wood carpentry, cross-cultural healing and reverie. Mashing up. THE COLLECTIVE UNCONSCIOUS UMMA NATURE OF US ALL. Taking power back and then letting it sift through our hands like the sands of Gaia.

We are influenced by pioneers, the mystics and the cabalistics. People who threw it all against the wall whether it stuck or fell to the ground. People who determined to make the beautiful subversive and to subvert beautifully, or who subverted or were beautiful by just being themselves, or those who copied those people just because they could and infused their own energy into the mix to make something, anything. Or who turned limitation into creation. Isn't that the definition of sharing?  And guess what? some of these people made some terrible music. But that's necessary. There IS a fine line between clever and stupid, and walking that line is the key. So we got The Who, David Bowie and James Brown. Fela Kuti, the Clash and the Damned, the Flaming Lips, Syd Barrett, Love and many more. As we have written on every wall, there's a fine line between wincing and goosebumps.

Genesis Blu, native Houstonian and self-proclaimed Raptivist, was named “The Blue Haired Matron” of hip hop by Texas Monthly. Genesis tabled her psychotherapy Ph.D for a career in music and advocacy. In a recent interview with NPR, Genesis explains how early childhood experiences with bullying, activism, and gentrification led her to write Bluming Season which will launch its national campaign early 2018. Determined to use her voice in music as a form of healing and protest, Genesis planted her feet in the rap game and in 2014 won the Matthew Knowles artist showcase. By 2016, Genesis was named Best Rapper in Houston by the Houston Press, the first woman to ever win the title. Often compared to the great MC Lyte due to her ability to rock a crowd on stage, Genesis’ influences include Nas, Tupac, and Lauryn Hill. In the coming year Genesis will begin a national tour for Bluming Season and is working on The Good Doctor mixtape scheduled to release in summer 2018.

Lorenzo Chiabotti
Originally hailing from Turin, Italy, Lorenzo Chiabotti began his love affair with music at a very young age. First playing the drums and then studying music at the Music School of Art, where he began to learn many different elements of music.  It was during this time that he began to study step sequencing and midi programs that really took him to the next level of his passion for electronic music. Once he began to experiment with these sounds he no longer wanted to play drums and traded in his drum set for machines that he could use to create the sound of his symphonic love. It was also during his teenage years that he began to immerse himself in Turin’s rave scene where his inspiration continued to develop and grow.

Soon everything would change for the young determined artist. He decided to spend a summer season in Ibiza in 2006. It was here that he would meet Luc Ringeisen in his record store on the island. Lorenzo gave Luc a demo of his unreleased productions and after a few weeks he became a part of the Vinyl Club family. Shortly after that he began to hear his tracks being played all over the island that summer in clubs like DC-10 and Privilege.  

After a few summer seasons of living in Ibiza, Lorenzo wanted something more. His good friend Luc Ringeisen had moved from Ibiza and kept telling Lorenzo to move to Berlin. Finally in 2010 he would relocate permanently to Berlin.  It was there that he would find a new level of inspiration from the vast variety of quality music in the excitement of the flourishing Berlin scene. He took this inspiration directly to the studio to begin to further develop and evolve his sound.  Shortly after relocating to Berlin he began to collaborate with Vinylclub label mate Maki Polne where they released a slew of records together on the label as well as their recent releases on Delooped Records, Vekton, and Vekton Black. Lorenzo also has heavily collaborated with Yaya of Desolat an old friend from his past in Ibiza. Their track “GrandeTosse” together on Kina was well received critically and in the underground circuit.  

Lorenzo’s sound can be described as funk driven Techno that is reshuffled with House and adds just a bit of darkness that keeps it all tightly woven together in a forward thinking manner.  When he isn’t in the studio you can catch him behind the decks throughout Berlin and the world, playing in places such as Doctor Sax, The Zoo Project, Club Der Visionäre, and Arena.
