Brothers Yngve and Demian Wieland form the backbone of 'Yngve & The Innocent', a band which through various lineup changes has moved from Sligo on the west coast of Ireland via Dublin to London where they've been based for the past 4 years. Regularly returning to Ireland they have been averaging over 100 shows a year and have had a succession of breakthroughs including UK national airplay on BBC Radio 2 by Steve Lemacq and numerous festival appearances including this years Hop Farm and Green Man Festivals. Their debut album 'The Sadness of Remembering' was released on July 23rd (distributed by Proper Music Group) and will undoubtedly cement their place amongst the 'ones to watch' for 2012.

The release of the 2011 Single 'Draw A Line' (view the official video on Youtube) saw them get favourable attention and reviews in printed publications such as Word Magazine, Artrocker and Hotpress and kicked off a hectic 6 months in which the band toured Ireland 4 times not to mention countless U.K. shows and festival appearances and an eight date trip to Spain. 2012 has already seen the band undertake their first German tour, playing 9 shows in 10 days across the country to a rapturous reception resulting in an offer to release their debut album there through Tonetoaster Records later in the year with distribution in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The band are on tour throughout 2012.

Recorded live onto 1" tape in London's Soup Studio Debut Album 'The Sadness Of Remembering' draws upon the wealth of songs that Yngve & The Innocent have been road testing over the past three years. Channelling the spirit of rambunctious bar room elegies, New Orleans' sagacious soul, and the rambling, roving commentary of ‘The Basement Tapes’ segueing into ‘Music From Big Pink’. The album encompasses everything from drunken boozers [You've Been Released, You'll Be Mine, Mr. King] through wistful social commentary [Every Man, Free From Fear] to dealing with heartbreak and loss [Weight Of Your Finger, Quarantine, Tell Me A Story]. However every track is underpinned by Yngve’s ear for instantly classic tunes and often brutally honest lyrics.

The album was recorded by Simon Trought who has previously worked with The Kills, Allo Darlin', The Wave Pictures and Treetop Flyers to name a few and was the last record to be completed in the Hanbury Street premises of Soup Studio. Coming off the road and straight into studio means there is an energy and tightness of playing that seeps through every song; laying down a tenderly warm – and at times rollickingly fashioned – atavistic analogue sound.

The recording was completely paid for by relentless touring which was tough to keep up but ultimately benefits the listener and once the record had been mastered the band independently raised over £5000 in pre-sales through Fund:it, an Irish crowd funding organisation, enabling them to finalize the artwork and get the album replicated. The band have just signed a distribution contract with Proper Music Group [winners of the 'Best Distribution Team' award from Music Week in three out of the past 4 years] which will see the album available in all good record stores across the UK and Ireland.

A 500 year old wizard powerful enough to pull the devil from hell. In ancient times, Nightly Dunfell was a very powerful wizard whose hubris lead him to attempt scheming Satan himself seeking power. He had an advantage, for he had learned the devil's name to send the beast back to hell. Upon striking a bargain for riches with the dark one Nightly would speak the name when his wealth was acquired. So, when the moon was finally right, he performed the ritual around the village fire. The devil was enraged at being summoned by a lowly mortal and began slaughtering everyone he knew. The devil granted Dunfell immortality so he could not take his own life as he would be saved for last. In fear, Nightly fled with the woman who had helped him with the ceremony. The devil was on his heels for ages, and in an epic chase finally caught the two survivors. Nightly Dunfell and his love Gladiola. Gladiola was killed and the final blow was an instant away when the wizard spoke the devil's true name, and Satan was banished back into darkness. Nightly Dunfell was without riches, without another living soul, and doomed to spend his days unable to die. 500 years later, he started a band and wrote songs. Here are some songs.

Praise the lord.
As every single person, I was a guy from a middle class typical Hindu family which includes my father, mother and two siblings. There was a which craft effect in my house which made our lives hell. I could see the wicked of the evil in my house, It changed all our lives. We lost the health, wealth and mainly all the blessings. We went to so many temples and done lots of homas (Hindu rituals) and stuff. But, there was no god to help us, I could see the evil stretching it’s hands to swallow us. At that time god has sent one of his believers to my house in the face of my neighbour. When he came and preached the word of God, I strongly felt he is the only God who could help us, with that strong believe we went to the Church very next day and accepted the lord as our savoir. When I accepted him as a true God I started to see the miracles happening one by one at my house. One day I felt Jesus entering into my house and evil going out with a loud scream, and I heard a blissful voice saying AMEN. From then on I grew in the Lord with a fear.

When Jesus chosen me as his servant…..
When I was 20 year old God has chosen me as his servant by telling me the verse from I KINGS 19:19 which says “Elijah went up to him and threw his clock around Elisha.” The Lord said to me, “from today you will serve me like Elisha.” Though I was too young, I didn’t have any sort of doubt in what God has told me. I knew that whatever the Lord said would be true. As soon as he chosen me he blessed me with wedding. But the when wicked came to know that God is going to use me for his service, it started using my family in so many ways. I saw my family members changing so wicked in three months from God has chosen me. My parents started harassing me and my wife in so many ways that we had to move away with no single rupee in our hands. I had huge passion towards what God has chosen me for. Many people advised me to go to the people for help. But God has reminded me one verse from PSLAM 118:8 which says “It’s better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in Human.” And also he reminded me one more verse from PSALM 118:7 which says “The Lord is on my side to help me;” once he reminded me these two verses I knelt down and started praying. When I started praying, I felt a helpful hand coming on to my head and touching me. I got the Strength when God touched me this way.

Troubles in the service…..
From the day the Lord anointed me, he was with me in all my situations and troubles and he was using me actively in his service. But on the other hand Satan was playing it’s role very actively in my life through so many people. Many people used to insult me saying I am unfit for the service; I am a small kid and many more. They used to insult me in many ways. But from then the Lord used me abundantly and widely in his service. We started our service in a hut in a village where there were only non- Christians used to live. Satan raised many people to be an obstacle to our service. But Our Lord knows how to remove the Obstacles which the Satan gives and make his service grow. That is the reason we are today with three churches in three different places in Thirupati city in Andhrapradesh. One main branch in a rented hall with 10000/- rent per month. Even for this we had to face many problems. We had to change the church to five places due to the people and Satan wicked thoughts. Then Lord blessed us with a very good rent hall with good house owners. This is not the humans effort or our effort But the Lord’s greatness. All the Glory goes to the Lord.

The Sound Of Film (aka Mr Simon and Mr Smith) promote and curate movie soundtrack-themed events 
in weird and wonderful spaces around London, providing a platform for film composers, screenings, 
theatrical performance, and, of course, an abundance of film soundtracks.

They are Soundtrack DJs who play film soundtracks and only film soundtracks. 
Why? Because it is a much neglected and often overlooked art form, yet once heard the response is 
immediate,  positive and awe-inspiring.

There's a wealth of film music that is rarely aired yet it is an essential component of the film making process. 
Film scores are by their very nature evocative and atmospheric. They convey tension, horror, fear, joy, love, lust, 
 every human emotion. Occasionally, film soundtracks are more memorable than the film itself.
