Bei Yashima handelt es sich um ein asiatisches Piratenstück. Zunächst beginnt das Stück sehr atmosphärisch. Geprägt wird dieser Teil vor allem durch den Einsatz von einem Bawu, einem Guzheng, sowie einem Erhu. Diese chinesischen Instrumente, sind auch im späteren Verlauf des Stückes immer wieder zu hören. Nach etwa einer Minute schlägt die Musik eine rhythmischere Richtung ein. Die Atmosphäre wird düsterer und leitet schlussendlich in eine für Piratenmusik typische Melodie ein. Im Allgemeinen ist das Stück sehr dramatisch und auch actiongeladen.

Yashima is a pirate-themed piece. The beginning is very atmospheric and is most of all characterised by the us of a Bawu, a Guzheng and an Erhu. These chinese instruments can be heard throughout the whole piece. After about a minute the music becomes more rythmic. The atmosphere gets more gloomy and eventually leads to a typical pirat-y melody. All in all the piece quite dramatic and action-packed.
