Axel sent me a tune he had and said " can you do anything with this ? " So I contacted Charlotte and the 3 of us created this super alternative Country song , we do hope you like it ! Well after this one everything is nearly completed but nothing actually is , if you see what I mean , 2 songs with Axel , one with Charlotte , and one with Dave Cooper , who is sunning himself on a Med cruise at this moment in time , lucky bugger ! I might do a couple of remixes just to keep things going , don't know yet , please stay tuned !

   This song began about half a year ago, as part of a three song set that Ken started with some really cool beats. Josh was first to the trough for here, laying in his fretless bass groove to complete the foundation and give it some tonal direction. Stephen came next and laid in the really trippy textural guitar that you hear throughout. JJ was next with his serious, no joke organ playing, which sets the mood for the whole thing. Last, but not least, Tez joined by adding some really cool accent guitar throughout.
   Of course, every great song needs a great producer, so we tapped Stephen to do the honors on this.
   We had originally made this and the other two song with the intention of having The Mysterios Decibel and his friend Modes About Me sing on them. However, life got in the way, so we sat on them.             Finally, MD let us know that he wasn't able to complete the project with us, much to everyone's, including his, disappointment. However, MD did lay down a rough vocal demo for us, which Stephen very ably processed to sound almost like another instrument in there. 
   So, we're releasing this song as a tribute to them both, with gratitude, especially to MD for all the great work he's put in with us. If you're not familiar with either of them, do yourself a favor and check them out.   This is an example of what it sounds like when the whole band composes a song together. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making

Mysterious Modes-Eclectic Collective

This song has a bit of a different vibe than my other songs and I tried not to fight how it evolved, especially since I wrote most of it on guitar (which I do occasionally.)  The original idea for this song came as a response to the Columbine High School and subsequent shootings in schools. Although I had started it some years ago and never fully developed it,  I decided to finish it and include it on my album given the crazy senseless violence that continues all over the world today.  

As with many of the songs on my album, this one came together with the guitars being tracked in different places and at different times. After recording the lead and bvs, I finally had something that I liked.  John Fields did the mixing, Greg Reierson mastered it as part of my album, Daniel Zimmerman and Dennis Caplinger played guitars, and Dave Zeiher did some of the original acoustic in some of the earlier versions with Harry Rabin as engineer. Randy Tico is on bass and the rest is me.

I'm Antonio Porrino, for all Tonino.
Graduated in Physics in March 1979, I was Researcher in Theoretical Nuclear Physics at the "Federico II" University of Naples until November 2019.
I studied music, initially at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella in Naples and then self-taught piano, organ and composition.
I have been married to Anna since July 1982 and we have 5 children, Fabio, Luca, Francesca, Cecilia, Vincenzo and 2 grandchildren, Antonio and Sofia, Fabio's children, married to Sara.
I founded the polyphonic choir "Vicus Novanensis" in 1992 and in 2019 "I Cantori di Maria", which have collected the legacy of the numerous "long distance adoptions" of the previous choir.
The musical activity takes place mainly at the "Pontifical Minor Basilica of Maria Santissima Assunta" in Santa Maria a Vico (Italy).
I have composed music of various genres.
My music would like to express and transmit feelings of peace, serenity and joy, contrasting those of war, hatred and oppression that seem to prevail on planet Earth, causing the degradation of the natural environment that guards us.
