vocal powerhouse, with over a thousand hours of stage experience, is an engaging and powerful singer
known for her soulful moving texts. The Lipstick Queens are an all-woman highlife band that have
entertained Ghanaians for the past decade with cover songs and some original music.
Lipstick Queens are residents of the leading live music venue +233 Jazz Bar & Grill and have played there
every Wednesday for close to a decade. Lively percussion, grooving bass, funky pianos, driving drums,
melodious highlife guitar, and two leading distinct vocals singing with conviction in English, Twi, Ga, and
Pijin, make the band the most delicious sought after live music treat in Ghana.
Maami is an unwavering stage presence with vocals akin to that of the greats like Lauryn Hill and she
always comes to put on a show yet she never forgets to involve the audience and that turns performances
into huge inclusive parties.
