The walk took in a disused railway viaduct on the outskirts of the town where I live. The song tells some of the story of the viaduct and it's builder George Hudson (aka 'The Railway King') and the ancient River Wharfe that the viaduct crosses.

A new version of our first recording together featuring re-recorded vocals. Also re-mixed and re-mastered.

We both really love this early ‘30s song. We enjoy playing it together at a local pub session a lot, so we decided to record ourselves performing it properly. It’s in the style of Paul McCartney’s version, featuring Fiona’s gorgeous fiddle part with Alan on vocals, ukuleles and some keyboard bits and bobs.

It's Only A Paper Moon [new version]

Remixed and remastered following the recent passing of Marianne Faithfull. Our arrangement and performance is more in line with her 1987 revisiting of her 1964 hit with this song. Originally written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones and Andrew Loog Oldham.

As Tears Go By [remix and remaster]

Our latest recording is a song that we have only recently started playing together, George Gershwin's wonderful 'Summertime'. We opted for a mellow / stripped back version to go alongside the other 25,000+ recorded versions.

Hi, I’m Alan T from North Yorkshire, UK. I enjoy creating music with ukuleles (four, five, eight and ten string'ers), some keyboard and singing. I make music solo and with Fiona as part of our duo ‘Al~Fi’. She brings her talent on fiddle to our recordings and also mandolin from time to time. I produce music using GarageBand.
