Fading screams from a younger age
The ghosts of his glory still haunt the air
Now no one remembers or pretends to care

Once a king in white hot flame
What remains is a fading name

A ghost stumbling through his own ruins
Once golden he's now lost in illusion

Whispers of awe turned to weary sighs

While he destroys another day

Loving Father,

As this new day begins, I come before You with a grateful heart.
Thank You for the gift of life, for Your mercy that is new every morning, and for Your unfailing love that never leaves me.

Lord Jesus, walk with me today.
Guide my thoughts, my words, and my steps.
Help me to love others as You have loved me,
to show kindness where there is hurt,
patience where there is frustration,
and grace where there is judgment.

Holy Spirit, fill me afresh.
Give me wisdom in decisions,
