Naming afrofuturism as a major source of influence, this release locks you into RAFF's world through its emotional touch and technical precision. Designed for clubs and headphones alike, his works can be distinguished via their frequential layering and spatial design. Exhausted Modern's debut full-length titled The Year of the Rat is a proof of the thought-provocation that author's name generates. Released on his own Endless Illusion imprint, the album doesn't have all the answers, it simply offers Exhausted Modern's perception of the modern times and also the energy to do something with them. The title, borrowed from the Chinese zodiac calendar, doesn't slip to mere esoteric prognosis, it fittingly and provocatively comments on broken mechanics of society, capitalistic hierarchisation and emotional frustration of its victims. Despite the dystopian character of Exhausted Modern's sound, which ranges from fast melancholia through suspicious calmness to slowly bubbling rage, it doesn't feel like the end of the world. It's critical artistic statement of a person who despite seeing all the darkness, also sees the way out of it.

Each one was plastered with various instructions and recommended dosages; some promising effects that she swore were near to non-existent. Nothing really helped to solve or even mask the emotions that were clawing away at her. She knew she needed something stronger...

After notching up releases with the likes of brokntoys, Rotterdam Electronix and OMO Recordings, Czech producer Exhausted Modern returns to his own Endless Illusion imprint for the second time to release his debut album, The Year Of The Rat. Not claiming to have all the answers, but offering his perspective on these modern times, across the LP Exhausted Modern comments on the broken mechanics of society, capitalistic hierarchisation and the emotional frustration of those who fall victim to it.

PREMIERE: Exhausted Modern ft. NVST - Something Stronger [Endless Illusion]

We're glad to be premiering this track from Crossover Network, forthcoming on Spanish imprint Soil Records. 

The EP comes as part of a collection of 4 releases - which are all avaliable in both digital and cassette format - that span between EBM, acid and Electro.
