A Christmas tale
(Krampus Night)
 
It’s the dark night of Christmas Eve,
When all are gathered ‘round the hearth
And sleepy children to their family cleave;
Little (do) they know, He’s getting out.

Roaming the streets and villages, He wears
The frightening wooden basket on his back,
Raising his hand, with birch sticks in the air,
His horns are sharp, his long claws - black

At first, you hear a sound of bells
And then, the one of rattling chains,
That even wicked demons from hell
Would have their blood freeze in their veins.

You know He’s entering the room,
It’s getting cold, all of a sudden,
A lump of coal means your eternal doom,
Your recklessness, became your burden.

He’s dragging children into hell,
he’s eating them, or even wors,
He’s drowning them - but I can tell -
that not the innocents, the cursed.

So, hidden inside every soul,
A Krampus and a Santa, all together
are living. And it takes the toll
Feeding the first, but not the other.
