Before recording "Half Man / Half Music", my arranger and producer, Jimmy Wisner, heard me noodling at the piano and had the engineer hit the record button. Jimmy liked the mood and we opened the record with it.

Quiet-Desperation

Originally released in my 1961 album, "Folk Songs of Many Lands" and recently in my ACE Records compilation CDTOP 1367(Paul Evans "21 YEARS IN A TENNESSEE JAIL"/"Folk Songs of Many Lands").

I appeared early in my career at a predominantly Irish college in Canada and this song brought down the house.  HAPPY ST. PATRICK's DAY!
