The idea for The Ukrainians grew out of a side project of British 1980s Indie band The Wedding Present. The
‘Weddoes’ had decided to make one of their BBC Radio 1 John Peel sessions a Ukrainian one. Guitarist Peter
Solowka's friend Len Liggins (dubbed ‘The Legendary Len’ by John Peel) was brought in as an extra member
because he sang, had been a student of Modern Slavonic languages at Leeds University and played an
authentic eastern European village sounding violin. The huge popularity of the session took the lads, the
public and Peel by surprise, and two more Ukrainian sessions were recorded for the show.

After this, Peter and Len went on to form The Ukrainians. They had written their first songs in Ukrainian,
including 'Oi Divchino', which was to be their first single. They flew out to Ukraine to make a video for it. Shot in Kyiv's (Kiev’s) outdoor 'Museum of National Folk Architecture and Way of Life', it was the first pop video to be produced entirely in the East for a Western band. 'Oi Divchino' was an NME Single of the Week and The Ukrainians attracted huge coverage in the music and mainstream press.

The first album, 'The Ukrainians', firmly established the group as the world's major exponent of a new hybrid
of traditional Ukrainian folk and Western rock music. The group was immediately embraced by rock, punk,
folk/roots and world music fans, generating a cross-genre appeal. The group was subsequently booked to
play festivals and tours throughout much of Europe.

Word began to spread across the Atlantic, prompting sportswear company NIKE to approach The Ukrainians
to record the soundtrack for a TV ad. The music accompanied footage of Ukrainian world champion polevaulter, Sergey Bubka and was screened globally.

The group next released their ‘Pisni Iz The Smiths’ EP, which included the group's Ukrainian language
versions of four classic Smiths songs. Voted No.1 ‘Single of the Year’ in Berlin it set the template for the
band’s occasional foray into covering classic Western pop songs in Ukrainian style. So far, other bands to
have been ‘Ukrainianised’ include The Sex Pistols, The Velvet Underground, T Rex, Prince, The Tornados,
Plastic Bertrand and Kraftwerk!

The ‘Vorony’ album extended the Ukrainians' popularity to almost every country in Europe. As a result, the
group played a magnificent 110 date tour that took The Ukrainians from Western Spain to Eastern Ukraine,
covering most of the countries in between. Included were prestigious festivals such as Glastonbury and
Womad in Britain and many dozens of World Music, Folk, Indie, Dance and Rock events throughout Western,
Central and Eastern Europe. A part of this frenzy was The Ukrainians' tour of Ukraine as guests of Ukraine's
Ministry Of Culture. The tour culminated in a performance in Kyiv's Independence Square before a crowd of
75,000 people, a politically charged and internationally-televised event organised to celebrate the anniversary of Ukraine's independence from the Soviet Union.

The subject matter of the next album, ‘Kultura’ was influenced heavily by the group's experiences on the latter tour. Kultura turned out to be responsible for extending the group's popularity to Poland and, via extremely enthusiastic responses from college radio stations and Ukrainian emigre communities, across the Atlantic to the USA and Canada.

The Ukrainians’ fourth studio album, Respublika, contained mostly traditional songs. It was recorded quickly
and captured a post-punk urgency reminiscent of the early Wedding Present John Peel sessions. It seemed
as though the band had turned full circle. Respublika generated a huge amount of radio airplay across Central and Eastern Europe.

In 2009 The Ukrainians released ‘Diaspora’, considered by many to be their best and most mature work. Most of the songs deal with the subject of migration: the heartbreak of leaving family and homeland forever coupled with the excitement of starting a new life. The album had a strong resonance at a time when waves of young Ukrainians, Poles and other Eastern Europeans had been flocking to the West in the hope of finding
something better. The album asked: “will they disperse successfully like seeds”, or will they be “scattered like leaves in a field”?

Some roots never die, no matter how they are cut. Stardog Champion is proof of this. Featuring members from Breaking Benjamin, Lifer and The Drama Club, This Northeast Pa. quartet is responsible for selling more than 4 Million Lps worldwide. Aaron Fink and Mark James reunite with vocalist Nick Coyle reigniting the creative flame that sparked the band Lifer and set the path for Breaking Benjamin success, add drummer Josh Karis to the mix and you get Stardog Champion. Produced by Grammy-nominated Neal Avron (Switchfoot, Everclear, Linkin Park) Exhale the group’s first EP featuring the single “When We Fall” is a collection of sharp, mature rock tracks unlike a lot of modern day manufactured rock tunes. Exhale is a product of passion and lifelong influences todays listening audience should be getting ready to absorb. What will come from these roots? Stardog Champion, breathe in Exhale!

Post Pluto is a five-piece progressive rock and funk band from Pensacola, Florida that experiments with many different genres, styles and improvisational attitudes in their music. This fresh and fearless approach has allowed them to storm the festival and jam scenes over the past few years. Since the band's inception in 2013, Post Pluto has created a reputation for their dynamic high-energy shows, unexpected covers, extended jams, and a packed dance floors.

In that short amount of time, Post Pluto has had the honor of sharing the stage with many greats, including George Clinton's Parliament Funkadelic, Roosevelt Collier, Zach Deputy (x3), Eric Lindell, Dumpstaphunk, The Heavy Pets, The Main Squeeze, Earphunk, and Honey Island Swamp band. The band has also performed at many regional music festivals such as: Suwannee Hulaween (x2), Slide into Spring, Zach Deputy's Disc Jam, Suwannee Getdown, Pass The Good, Great Outdoors Jam and many more.

With the release of their first studio album "New Horizons" in the fall of 2015, Post Pluto has parlayed its instant chemistry into a cohesive and remarkably mature sound that's all their own. As the album title suggests, this is a band that embraces the possibilities of the unknown, no matter what those sonic worlds may be. Featured on MTV.com, opening for Grammy award winning artist Layzie Bone, and hitting the stage at SXSW (South By Southwest), EstaBoN is focused. He has been quietly conquering the game for years and is ready to take center stage and claim what he has been working towards his entire life. 

EstaBoN aka Stephen Speights escaped a life of poverty and abuse in Detroit, MI when he was shipped to live with his aunt in the South Suburbs of Chicago. From youth, he displayed a high level of creativity, especially through the avenues of poetry, songwriting and drawing. His artistic skills led him to form a singing/rapping/gospel rap group with his two best friends. The group eventually disbanded and EstaBoN embarked on a solo rap career at the age of 15. He abandoned the Gospel genre in pursuit of a mature subject matter to document his growing pains. Through the years he honed his skills and generated national buzz while studying Psychology at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

His buzz spread further following the release of his 2013 mixtape Perfect Timing. The album showcased his range as an artist, as he delved in and out of different genres of music, and the follow-up is just as promising. Always one to experiment, EstaBoN will try his hand at the high energy Chicago based Drill movement with his newest release ‘Chasin,’ ft. J.R. Donato set to drop on May 20th of 2014.


     Originator of the Stag Sound, Patson is a one man band from Muhlenberg County, KY the birthplace of thumb picking guitar. 95 miles northwest of Nashville, Muhlenberg is also the birthplace of such music legends as Merle Travis and The Everly Brothers.
      Featuring guitar, drums, and vocals all played simultaneously while standing behind a drum set, no samples... like you've never seen before. Patson blasts out an overall audio impression of a full band and has been compared to The Stooges, The Cramps, and The White Stripes to name a few. Top producer Ross Robinson (GlassJAw, At The Drive-In) calls it "sick.”
     The concept of playing guitar and drums together came to surface in July of 2008, and by July of the following year, it was finally time to take it to the streets and see how it would go over. “I went up there and did what I do in the basement… just let it rip. The audience could dig it right off, No one would deny that I was rocking it with everything I had.”
      Patson is a lifelong artist/musician sometimes known for his drumming in various bands in the Bowling Green, KY and Nashville, TN scenes. Along with writing, recording, mixing, and mastering his own demo, he also does all the graphic design (logos, T shirts) and video shooting/editing “I’m not a control freak, I just know how it needs to look and sound, since it’s me, I have the vision and the means to convey it" says Patson.      “Merle and The Everly's always assured me that it didn’t matter where you are from as long as the music was kickin'.” says Patson about his geographical preference. Patson will tell you, he’s been all around this U.S.A and is quite sure of his love of his old Kentucky home, and KY loves Patson too. In 2010 Patson was named "Col Patson" by KY State Gov.
     Having endured a serious mountain bike crash in 2002, he lost the front 2.5 inches of his tongue when it was bitten off upon impact. Surgeons expected he might never speak audibly again. “I started back singing as soon as I could" said Patson. After three near death experiences, his Evel Knievel type stunts are strictly reserved for his music. Like Evel, Patson brings a bold new feat to music with an undeniable confidence.
     Today, Patson is playing in the Bowling Green and Nashville areas, bashing out his original approach on the one man band. A fully developed sound, mature voice and hard-hitting music that rocks any room, anywhere. Get down guaranteed.
