Since its foundation in 1997 the German Trisol Label has represented visionary releases on a major and influential level in all fields of the dark side of alternative music: Be it Gothic, Electro/EBM, Industrial, Dark Folk or J-Rock.

Contrary to common practice in the music business it is their belief and creed to allow their artists maximum room for development - strongly believing and committed to the belief that artistic freedom is the true source of creativity: their many successes proving this mantra correct. No other label has brought forward such an impressive number of acoustic-visual works of art in recent years: both internationally with established acts such as ASP, London After Midnight, Moi Dix Mois and Samsas Traum but also with exciting newcomers such as Dope Stars Inc. or Emilie Autumn - to name just a few.

Trisol skilfully combine the positive aspects of a typical Indie-label with a maximum degree of professionalism, especially in the fields of worldwide distribution and promotion. The releases of the original motion picture soundtracks of the blockbusters 'SAW 2', 'SAW 3' and 'SAW 4' convincingly demonstrates Trisol's successful template and concept.

Close collaboration with their musicians and an extraordinary intuition for great new talent have not only earned Trisol a reputation of being one of the last bastions for true aficionados of alternative music but also as indefatigable promoters of 'the real thing'- that precious species which provides us the music fan with thrilling musical visions beyond today's throwaway and transparent mentality.

Hailing from Eaing, West London I am DJ Jay St Paul a Specialist, radio and club DJ across London. The main music genres I focus on are Hip-Hop, R&B, House, Soulful House, Deep House, Baseline and Chill-Out.
 
Having always had a strong musical influence from my father who was in a band called Index before I was born, from the point of conception, brewing in my mother’s womb, after birth and growing up I have been around music. He used to take me in to the front room which at this point was his music den with a two seater and a large green beanbag, his record collection and of course his stacked sound system (kind of showing my age a bit ;p) and play music. When I was 13 during this period of growing up I spent a lot of time with my DJ uncle watching him put mixtapes together, it was during this that I learnt about the technicalities involved in being a good DJ by observing him blend seamlessly, mix and juggle whilst he performed. Influences outside of my circle are, DJ Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Babu, Carl Cox, to name a few.
 
My passion for DJing initiated when I came across a DJ software called Virtual DJ; A software that other DJ’s would frown upon, especially those who are more accustomed to the likes of Traktor and Serato. I had to learn from scratch like all good DJ’s but I learnt on a digital platform where I could see the waves, read the metadata and also get the correct BPM’s and Key’s. Combatting the flaws of the software, I stayed up for days burning out my CD drive uploading all the music we had on CD’s in the house that I wanted to DJ. Days went by when I just used the keys on the keyboard for mixing learning the shortcut keys and the essential mapping of the keyboard so the software worked as I wanted it. For my first gig I was given the opportunity to DJ for the American University of Richmond student party and Spring- Fest party, this allowed me to put my skills into practice. Although I had to bring my whole desktop PC (including the monitor!) to the event, I left the crowd in awe of my creative abilities as a DJ, a gig that is remembered to date.
 
It wasn’t until a few years later I finally purchased a Numark DJ micro mixer and turntables. It was from here that I developed my mixing abilities and skills as a turntablist. My versatility as a DJ is exemplified through my ability to be able to adapt my style to captivate different audiences; from student nights at The International American University in Richmond, Spring – Fests, private parties to the larger music festivals such as ‘Bournemouth 7s’, where I was the headlining DJ in the Urban tent for the past 2 years. I hosted a few nights at Ping and My Place Night Club in Earls Court and I have had the privilege of playing at the iconic Noting Hill Art’s club several times supporting acts and DJ’ing for specialist Hip Hop nights.
 
 As well as building up a strong reputation as a club DJ, I have also showcased my skills in the radio arena as a DJ for Westside (89.6FM and online) a London Urban station, dedicated to playing the biggest Hip Hop and RnB anthems. On radio I have produced, Dj’d and presented shows; developing my own radio personality and finding creative ways to interact with my listeners. It’s through my work on radio that I am able to open my listener’s ears to new sounds and talent, which was one of the main reasons I became a DJ.  
 
2016 is an exciting year for me with my own events in the pipeline I shall also establish a DJ agency working with clubs, venues and promoters to find them the best DJ’s who know, understand and love the art form and most importantly know how to keep a floor filled.

Trendkilling Southern Praise Metal from Tennessee

Biography
Rent Veil is a a southern heavy rock/metal trio from the Knoxville, TN area. Influences such as Blackfoot and Black Sabbath are apparent in Rent Veil's writing, as well as more modern influences such as Black Stone Cherry and Lamb of God. Rent Veil features three veterans of music. With this current line-up, Rent Veil plan on recording as soon as possible in 2014 and continue to perform whenever and wherever they can, below is the history that brought them to this point.....

In mid November of 2007, in the backwoods of eastern Tennessee, the chill in the air was simply a promise of another long winter to come. There was a sound that rang through that cold air, a din - if you will, of something new and exciting. This clamor carried with it the beauty of an Easter morning sunrise service, the aggression of a "hell fire and brimstone" southern Baptist preacher and the soul of southern roots that had once been covered with the filth of a Godless world. This sound, this music became - Rent Veil.

Rent Veil continued throughout the winter, into 2008 and recorded their first demo in February. The demo was titled "Union". The trio of musicians, Tym Walker - Vocals and Guitars, Greg Frye - Drums and Vocals and Doug McDaniel - Bass - performed, grew and honed their skills throughout various parts of the United States, alongside acts such as Demon Hunter, As I Lay Dying, Impending Doom and more. Performances included their first ever at GMA Music Week (Nashville, TN) for Raging Storm Records and the always amazing - ever growing Cornerstone Music Festival in Bushnell, IL among others. 

Entering a new decade in 2010 - the music known as "Southern Praise Metal" drifted from a mainly metal standpoint into a southern roots filled metal niche. With the addition of Wes LeQuire on bass in early 2010 (following previous bassists McDaniel and Travis "Monkey" Tapp) the spirit and power of Rent Veil grew and flourished into a true machine like southern metal power trio. Influences from thrash metal, death metal, southern rock, blues and even southern gospel were apparent in the structure of Rent Veil's music. Though just when it "seems" everything is going great, it's not.... 

In early 2011,before the release of their debut - Praise, Honour and Glory, Rent Veil disbanded and went their separate ways. In mid 2012, founder, vocalist and guitarist - Tym Walker knew that it was time to resurrect Rent Veil, so the work and prayers began to find the proper musicians to fill the slots that remained vacant. Curtis Myers (bass) was quick to jump on board as he had traveled with Rent Veil throughout the previous years and knew the music very well. Finding a drummer took much more time... but on Christmas Eve 2012, Rent Veil officially announced that Roy "Animal" Clemmer was taking the position of drummer.

In spring of 2013 Curtis Myers decided to leave Rent Veil. After a few calls, some texts and some time together Rent Veil were humbled and extremely excited to welcome music veteran and former Death Row, Pentagram and Place Of Skull bassist - Lee Abney to the Rent Veil fold. The year 2013 promises to be the biggest year ever for Rent Veil! As we welcome the new year, plans are being made to bring Rent Veil out of a two year dormant stage and return with a mighty and undeniable voice!. By no means is this a revival... this is revolution! A "Southern Praise Metal" revolution!
