I try to make beautiful music, but if the sound I discover has a strange atmosphere, I try to think of a structure that can incorporate it. 
　Then I discover a lot of other strange junk-like sounds and mold the music that makes use of them.
　The determination to make beautiful music at the beginning is carried over to the next work, but the next work will also be obsessed with collecting junk.

Kicking off our Ibiza 2023 collection is American producer Floyd West22, making his Play debut with the lively tech house banger Lift Off!.

After explorations into bass house and future house, Lift Off! is a return to West22's tech house roots, with the works of Jaime Jones and Mark Knight as reference points.

The producer initially tried to get NASA to license the track for marketing purposes. But the space agency pretended not to notice the perfect thematic alignment. Their loss is our gain.

I usually share quite personal songs with you . In a certain manner that s the case for that one too . But the one's who s talking to you here is an 8 years old Franky boy. Every time someone asked him"what will you do with your life in the future ?" , he just answered : I'll be a magician , of course !
The old guy just lends his voice and plays a few stuffs here and there. 
Of course this is not a "serious" song , but many artists currently post their summer songs , and i've never composed a summer song . So here's my first try !

A Darker Wave

This EP is my second for 2024 and is dedicated to my daughter, Tyra Claire. There is a track named after her and it is the most beautiful piece of music that I have composed to date. It's been a pleasant challenge to craft Mark's adlibed voice.

Tried finger drumming... moments of 3/4, others 4/4... then I remembered Franco Battiato singing about 7/8 measures in Brittish folk, and... why not?

Similar doubts about the chords, I finally built a sliding harmony using groups of notes found along the vocal line.

Many laboratory hours after I got something friendly; time to jam brainlessly a pair of guitars which made some organic company to the voice.

Great temptation of singing with Mark, but I finished the vocal edition by building a final choir instead ;)
