J'ai l'immense joie de vous partager ma chanson "Mais je t'aime quand même". C'est une des toutes premières chansons que j'ai écrit il y a presque 20 ans.
Je n'aurai pas pensé à cette époque que je finirai par le publier. C'est l'histoire de 2 amoureux qui veulent être ensemble mais qui n'en ont pas le droit, un amour impossible. 

I have the immense joy of sharing with you my song “But I love you anyway”. It's one of the very first songs I wrote almost 20 years ago. I wouldn't have thought at that time that I would end up publishing it. It's the story of 2 lovers who want to be together but who don't have the right to do so, an impossible love.

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;

Strange activities

Recent events in the wider world and to a lesser extent in my personal life leave me somewhat apprehensive and this,intentionally, is reflected in this composition. In particular the intermittent plucked  bass mimics a heart beat,with some ectopics and tachycardia reflecting the physical effects of anxiety on the body.

Journey

I was born in Leicester in the late 1950's. Since semi-retirement and subsequent retirement (as a Dermatologist and formerly G.P) I have spent some of my spare time trying to learn music theory. I also enjoy long distance running as well as cycling, skiing and tennis. I enjoy cooking, gardening and growing a few vegetables. And fine wine (in moderation). I enjoy insect photography, with a particular interest in hoverflies..
To my regret I never learnt a musical instrument when younger but I have listened to and been fascinated by music for as long as I can remember. The advent of the computer age has allowed me to pursue my desire to compose music. I use Logic Pro X software (and MuseScore3 for recent piano compositions). My compositions reflect my varied listening preferences (including Contemporary Classical, Jazz and  Music from other cultures around the world).
