Agape Speaks is the Podcast of Agape Brewing Community, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to Brew Beer, Build Community, and Change the World, founded and run by the Rev. Jamie Green Klopotoski. Rev. Jamie is an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches, but considers herself a nontheist humanist. She graduated with a BA in Religion and Jewish Studies from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and a Master's of Divinity from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Her passions include: love, social justice, beer, music, community, family, and spirituality. 

The Vision of Agape Brewing Community is to be both a brewery and a community space in Gloucester, MA.
 
As a brewery, Agape Brewing Community will make and sell beer (and non alcoholic root beer, birch beer, and sodas)available on tap in a cozy tasting room with beverages on tap, and you can buy samplers, pints, and growlers. All beers will have low ABV (3-7% alcohol), so they will be incredibly drinkable, light, refreshing, Session ales (a Session ale is a beer that you can drink several of in a session without getting drunk).
 
 
As a community space, Agape Brewing Community will be everything that is good and meaningful about a church— community, love, justice, support, care, outreach, spiritual growth— but with no doctrine, no mandated beliefs (well…. you do kinda have to believe in love… but that’s it I swear!), no outdated religious laws, no hypocrisy, no abuse, no hate—- only love. Agape will be multifaith/interfaith community— Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, mono-theists, poly-theists, a-theists, agnostics, humanists… everyone is welcome. Love will be what ties everyone together. As a “church”, Agape will hold regular community gatherings that are welcoming, inspiring, and transformative, to develop connections for encouragement and support and to enhance each other’s spiritual, emotional, physical and mental growth. Agape will be a community that reaches out to the world in love. 

We hope to challenge podcast participants to express their views on the institution of marriage, and listeners to explore new ideas.  It’s ok to not want to be married, just as it is ok to want to be married straight out of college! Our participants will range in religious backgrounds, ethnicity, and sex. By creating a podcast, we can encourage open communication and understanding while removing the biases and stigma that might emerge from seeing someone in person. The institution of marriage is ever-changing, particularly for college-age students, and we’re hoping to use our podcast as a tool for ALL voices to be heard!


The Creativity Roots is a weekly podcast that digs deep into our roots to find the source of all beautiful things in human expression. We will demystify the concept of creativity and debunk misconceptions to encourage (you) our audience to dare and take steps into the process of creation with the necessary knowledge and confidence.

Understanding that the capacity of creation is not an exclusive privilege given to a select group of gifted geniuses born with especial talents, but instead a natural and innate human condition that has been overshadowed by our own social, cultural and religious inhibitions.

To go back to our roots in terms of creativity means to rediscover the primal source of curiosity for our environment, the assessment of our available resources and the awareness of our needs not only as individuals but also as members of a social system.

The goal of this series of podcast is to encourage us to go back to our roots of our human condition without the inhibitions imposed by what we understand as civilization. To rediscover that estate of creative innocence, free of prejudice and full of inquiring curiosity that once allowed us to make the jump from instinctive and reactive primates to reasoning, problem-solving humans.

THE OBJECTIVE
The everyday Christian and religious observer would rather skip the lofty words and theological phrases that most people don't understand.  The everyday person wants straight forward information they can take-in without having to reach for the dictionary.  This is a foundational objective for the 4K4C blog & podcast.

My name is Jim Williams.  I am a husband to my wife of eight years and father to one child.  I am an ordained protestant-evangelical minister with formal ministry training and have been in the gospel ministry since 2004.  

THE INTENDED OUTCOME 
It is my hope that as observations are made, from a Christian perspective, about such things as family, work, education, culture, and life overall, that you would be encouraged in your faith and challenged in your spiritual walk with Jesus the Son of God.

The Women Beyond Belief Podcast features interviews with women who have left religion. Wendy Marsman who is a former Evangelical missionary to Brazil hosts the podcast. The name is also the title of a book by author Dr. Karen Garst, Women Beyond Belief: Discovering Life Without Religion. The podcast is a platform for women to express their frustrations, anger and the loneliness they find when they exit religion. It is for any women who is de-converting and finding freedom outside the walls of the church. It can open up doors of opportunity for women who were from religious backgrounds where women’s voices were suppressed. Some of the guests are bloggers and authors and as their work is showcased, their writing can reach a larger audience. For others, just the act of sharing their story can give them validation that they hadn’t had before. The podcast is for Humanist, Feminist, Agnostic and Atheist women who have left religion and together are Women Beyond Belief.

The blues are the stories of life real everyday life and spiritual side is sunday music. My goal is to share the stories of present blues artists and bands, the story behind their songs, how they came to write and perform the blues, and will be called Storytellers Blues, a journey with the men and women Storytellers of the Blues on the Blue Note Express. From a child the sounds of life was my first language it was music, my dad was a blues piano and blues singer, his aunts used to sing the blues to me. Then in 1989 I attended the Mississippi Valley Blues Society Blues Festival and it was like going home, a religious experience "going down to the river" and from that time I studied every aspect of the blues, weaved it through every college course I could, philosophy and anthropology, then in my grad yrs I interviewed 14 women and men in the blues, I was not able to finish my thesis due to the fact that I wanted to include both men and women in the blues. Recently I have asked 14 men and women in the blues to share their stories with me and to do a podcast . As a newbie with no studio its been a real journey, the passion and a real connection with the "blue note" has moved me to try again. I hope to do several shows.. The first will be a tribute to the men in the blues and then tribute to the women in the blues, and my next project will be to share the stories of the women and men I was fortunately able to interview and their music. Music is not only my passion, its my world and it wraps me up and lifts me up to overcome disabilities in the same way that it helped release the souls of blues singers did, singing it out, is an emotional release to have renewed life and soul refilled with joy. 
May this journey and stories of these blues artists/bands bring you joy, release your pain, blues are both about the sorrow and the joyful aspects of life. Its real and honest. Hope that you will join me on this maiden voyage with the Storytellers Blues 

Hi everyone! My name´s Sascha, and I´m what now people call a secular Humanist. As such, I am also deeply interested in ancient philosophical thought, especially Stoicism.

This podcast is about secular Humanism as a world-view for non-religious people, philosophy in general as a practiced way of life, and Stoicism in particular as a great resource of guiding principles to lead a good and happy life. Stoic philosophy teaches love and commitment towards other people and public life, personal integrity and freedom, and how to face adversity in the modern world.
