After an impressive start to 2023, including a spot-on Amelie Lens’ latest EXHALE VA, cult underground talent Chemtrailz based in Texas, returns with another offering from his Terra Novae
label in the form of his ‘Eternally Yours, Truly’ EP to be released on the 30th June. “This EP is dedicated to my mother, Rosemarie Thomas-Ellis, who passed from cancer June 1st, 2022.”
The release opens with ‘Deepening’, giving you the first slice of thumping goodness from Chemtrailz’s latest work. Blending furious Techno beats with ravey hardstyle sonics throughout, its onslaught of
hammering grooves and urgent musicality make it a solid peak-time cut. ‘Bump My Tape’ comes next, bringing high-octane vampirical Techno vibes from the outset. Subtly sliding in more hardstyleinspired frequencies alongside gritty, fast-paced driving grooves, its catchy vocal topline ties thisunderground slammer together perfectly. The penultimate cut, ‘Eternally Yours, Truly,’ takes things back towards more clean-cut Techno sounds with an impressive melodic emphasis. Fusing stadium-sized rhythms with endless layers of coarse electronic musicality from start to finish, its ethereal sounds and hard-hitting cadence pack one almighty punch. The release ends with ‘Way Seer’, serving the last slice of racy, ominous, acid-washed Techno potency, again highlighting Chemtrailz’s innate ability to hold the floor with gripping musical
arrangements and captivating writing teamed with gargantuan beat constructions.

For the past three years, I have been captivating audiences with my distinctive sound, blending melodic techno with hard kicks and exploring genres like techno, trance, schranz, and old-school hardcore. Inspired by artists such as Johannes Schuster, Sutura, and Mad Dog, my goal is to take my audience on a journey through music – into a world free from worries, where only the music and the present moment exist.

My style is all about balancing my unique sound with the energy of the crowd. It’s essential for me to showcase my musical vision by creating something fresh through mixing different tracks. At the same time, I’m always tuned into the atmosphere in the room, making sure that everyone feels part of the journey. My ultimate goal is to make people dance, helping them escape reality and lose themselves in the music.

Although I’ve mostly played at smaller events so far, I’m constantly working on my craft and pushing myself to grow as an artist. I’ve also founded Double Earth Records, a community for DJs that fosters collaboration and growth within the electronic music scene.
