I’ll never forget the first time I played at DCM. It was NYE on Dec 31, 1993. My heart was in my throat for the first hour or two, but the house was PACKED from start to finish (11pm - 8am). 

Undoubtedly, this was the kick-start to my career for many venues in Sydney’s inner-west. 

I guess I have to thank DJ James Fraser for offering me a little advice that morning as he took over at 8am. He told me to “stick to my long mixes”. And he was right. I still do that today.

I Remember House 1990-93 (Šime's Tropical Fruits Mix)

This is a 'compressed' version of my 3 hour set at Tropical Fruits NYE 13 "Rainbow Circus" in Lismore. The final track is a beautiful deep house number by Nora en Pure called 'sweet melody', the rest of the mix is unrelentingly techno. Hope you enjoy.

It is a very early first master and it is not my normal set - Tropical Fruits asked me to play in my beloved campsite on 30 Dec.  

This performance is an amalgam of loads of stuff I heard around the campsite in the previous 3 days and remixed into a set. It is the first of a TWO PART recording.  This first set plays up to sunset.  As with all NYE parties - a bit of retro is acceptable - isn't it?  The entire set was eight hours.
