Our temporal construct
Is a stubborn persistent illusion
But it works for all of us
Well it works for most of us
And it works because it has to 
or else the alternative would 
Mean we’d have to confront
Beyond the linear effect and cause
There would only be a now 
And even that would be up for doubt
Just one singular moment
(We’re talkin’ instantaneity)

I don’t think we’ll ever be ready

What’s a universe when fit
Into an infinitesimal interval in time?
Perhaps intangible and tangential
Relatively speaking
When has it ever been
In our understanding?
So somebody somewhere 
Please break this theme for me
I can’t keep singing
About the “never was” and “nothing is”


Where’s Erwin’s cat when you need it?
When will the synapse keep pace with infinity?
