Die Geschichte der jiddischen Stimmen aus Osteuropa, die aufgenommen auf Wachswalzen-Phonographen auf rätselhafte Weise die Zeiten überdauerten, setzt sich fort. Wer waren diese Menschen, die ihre Lieder in den Trichter des Phonographen sangen?

 

Sängerin Inge Mandos hat zusammen mit Ayana KimRon Nachfahren dieser Sängerinnen und Sänger ausfindig gemacht und von ihnen die Geschichten erfahren, die hinter den Stimmen stecken.

 

So enstanden das Konzertprogramm und die CD "OVES", das sind die jiddischen Lieder

der Vorfahren für die Nachfahren, vom Ensemble WAKS ausgegraben und einfühlsam

und mitreißend neu arrangiert und interpretiert.
