Hello everyone, I'm Jimmy from Miami Jeff and this is my Mother's Day gift to all of you beautiful life-giving mothers out there and to all of those very talented musicians and artists that reside here on SoundCloud. This EP MONTAGE MIX is like a mini Rock or Folk Opera (with no talking) and it requires a long listen of over 18 minutes (not for everybody today, I know!). The Montage consists of 7 songs - I remixed 7 of my songs together and I also produced a very long music-video (a short film really) of this Operetta which will be out on May 10th on my YouTube channel -

     I hope those who take the journey with me and listen to it until the end will be surprised and entertained by it. These songs deal with life on planet Earth, with the oceans, animals, sun, birth, childhood, time, love, life, and death. Listen to it on headphones since there is a lot of stereo mixing and sound effects going on in the multi-mixes. I can't add all the lyrics here but the video will have all the lyrics displayed. I've never taken a music lesson in my life on any of the instruments I play (and it probably shows too!), I'm self-taught and Charlie sings most of the songs here. I also use NO A.I. NO Autotune, NO Pitch Correction, All of the songs are written by me in my basement studio so please forgive all my flubs and my mediocre vocals. I love writing songs and recording and Charlie does too!  I want to thank everybody that supports me and listens to my songs, they do come from my heart and not from a computer chip! Eclectic Collective -- composition

This song started around the New Year holiday, when Josh was playing around with a looper beat on his bass. He came up with the bass line and structure for it before turning it over the the rest of the Eclectic Collective to work with. 

  Ken was first up, giving the beat its due as a real drummer, and making it his own, expertly, as always. JJ was up next with his dynamic, lush organ, propping up the groove and adding sonic flavor throughout. Stephen came through after JJ with his foundatoinal, gritty, groovy guitar. It was sitting there ripe for a melody at this point, so Josh heard and added a melody vaguely inspired by the Simpson's theme and added it with his electric guitar. Tez wrapped the whole thing up with the exciting "synth" part you hear in the middle with his custom Tele, which he processes through a Line 6 interface.

  Once it was in the bag, Tez did the honors of producing and mixing it for us, and he did so exactly as we wanted it.

  This is an example of a song Josh started with a groove and set loose on the rest of the band. It is also a good example of what happens when we're all moving towards the same vision. We hope you enjoy hearing this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.
