Well, today on About the Peninsula, Nicola Furlong will take you through the twin doors into this purpose-built house, which is the home of the Mt. Newton Centre. You may be surprised and impressed to learn what lies inside. 
 
As Adult Day program organizer Bridget Shumka explains, the centre is run by the not-for-profit Mt Newton Society and offers day health services for seniors living on the Saanich Peninsula. As you will discover, Bridget brings a strong nursing background, an intense drive to succeed and a keen interest in her clients’ well being to what she calls her last and best job.
